Questions & Answers
As a veterinary student, I believe that putting it in the dog's ear is not a good idea. It won't give you an accurate reading, and it might even puncture your eardrum. As stated in the previous answer, use the rectum with lube. If you are unable to do so, contact your veterinarian and arrange for a temperature and examination of your animal.
Getting a reading only takes about 30 seconds (sometimes less). This is an excellent item.
Selected User Reviews For Flexible Digital Thermometer
It's a lot easier to keep the thermometer in place with the flexible tip. It appears to be a good fit. The manufacturer has decided to stop producing this item.
The flexible tip for taking animal temperatures (we live on a farm) is particularly useful. It is also simple to read and does not take an inordinate amount of time.
simple, quick, and precise.
The title of this review is self-explanatory. However, while it appears to be attractive, it is not without its flaws. It's simple to read and has a nice range of flexibility. However, removing the top that houses the battery when it dies is IMPOSSIBLE. It STILL WOULDN'T BUDGE after I called the manufacturer and followed their brief instructions. As a result, it ended up in the trash. It's a little pricey for only being used for a short period of time.
The temperature drops to an alarmingly low level. Isn't it true that digital ones aren't as dependable as analog ones?.
This is ideal for our kitty's emergency kit!.
a must-have for any pet's first-aid kit - Fortunately, I've never had to use it - However, for small animals, this product will be more suitable.
This thermometer's versatility comes in handy. My dog appeared to be unconcerned about it, though she did appear embarrassed.
