Questions & Answers

Why do they call it a "new look" when it's a completely different formula? There will be no oatmeal this time. Barley, carrots, apples, sweet potato, blueberries, and lamb have now been added to the menu. ?

The serving size is also different, in addition to the formula. I had no idea the formula had changed, and my dogs were sick and gaining weight as a result. The previous bag held 2 cups for 25 pounds; now, it holds 1 and 2/3 cups. It makes a big difference if you're born in March. I'm going to try the adult Ultra small breed.

Is there a paper bag or a plastic bag with the dog food?

Bags made of paper

What makes this nutro adult natural different from the nutro ultra adult?

The most notable difference between these two formulas is that ULTRA will include three meat protein sources (chicken, lamb, and salmon), as well as a different kibble shape. Why did the price of this item go up by $20 across the board?

I'm not sure if I agree or disagree - I noticed this as well, and I've had to consider whether I can afford to keep my dogs on this food at this new price; it's such a great food, and they do so well on it, but I'm not sure I can - My three large dogs are my pride and joy. Every month, we go through 60 pounds of food.

BUYING THIS ON AMAZON IS NOT RECOMMENDED! For a few months, I've been purchasing nutro (supposedly the same formula)
3/5

My Gwen has always enjoyed it, so I figured I'd save a few bucks by ordering it through my prime account. Well, the first time I fed Gwen this Amazon food, I noticed how different it looked and felt. Most of the more expensive dog foods, such as Blue Buffalo and even Nutro, have an oily feel to them, but this one felt dry and the pellets looked different. I was concerned, but didn't see why there would be anything wrong because everything appeared to be in order on the internet. br>As soon as Gwen finished her meal, she began violently heaving. I initially assumed she was choking, so I checked to see if her airways were blocked, which they weren't. Her legs became weak, and she whimpered in agony for 5 minutes before vomiting. Then she began drooling profusely and attempting to eat anything that resembled grass. I assumed she was suffering from some sort of obstruction, or that she'd eaten something sharp earlier in the day. When I took her outside, she went crazy for the grass, almost choking on it because she was eating it so quickly, whimpering and sweating profusely. I dragged her away from the grass and rushed her to the nearest emergency vet, despite the fact that I could barely get her out of the grass. They said she didn't appear to have a blockage, but she acted as if she'd gotten herself into something potentially dangerous. I assumed she'd gotten herself into something I hadn't seen outside. Her vitals were normal, so she was given an anti-nausea shot to get her off the grass. I drove her home, and she seemed fine. br>The next morning, I fed her a small amount of Nutro, unaware that it was the source of her problems. She didn't eat it until later in the evening, and she puked it up shortly afterward. I tried feeding her other foods and she ate them all, so I assumed it was the Nutro. I tried giving it to her one last time the next day, but it had the same predictable result, so I'm out 120 dollars for the vet visit, plus I had to buy new food to replace this toxic swill. I'm going to have some of the food tested for contaminants at my primary veterinarian's office. In my experience, Nutro is a good brand, but I'll never buy it from Amazon again.

Warning

Since we got him two years ago, I've been feeding Nutro products to him. I usually get this item from a pet store. Until recently, I relied on Amazon's subscribe and save option to get my goods. The first batch contained a protein that was different from what he was used to. He developed severe diarrhea and incontinence almost immediately. I decided to return to the usual food he eats because I thought it was because of the protein change. I started with a small bag from the pet store, which he tolerated well, so I went back to Amazon and ordered the larger bag. He got diarrhea again right away. I took him to the veterinarian because I wasn't convinced it was the food. After an $800 vet bill and no issues, I've come to the conclusion that this batch from Amazon is to blame. His diarrhea has vanished after holding this food and trying other samples. I don't believe it is because of the brand. He tolerated the food when it was provided by my regular food supplier. As a result, proceed with caution. I would strongly advise that you keep a close eye on your pup's BMs because this food could be the source of the problem. So keep your money in your wallet.

This food is a forgery that will harm your pets! This food is a forgery that will harm your pets! I've been buying it for three months because I couldn't figure out why my dog started leaking urine all the time and was labeled as having "incontinence
3/5

" She also put on weight, gaining more than ten pounds. Nothing helped until I stopped eating the food after several vet bills and medications. She's doing fantastically well now!! Please. Please. Please don't purchase this food! Take a look at the photo I took to see the difference between this fake food and the real thing.

I ordered the wrong size of kibble! To begin, let me state that this brand of dog food is my dogs regular food
4/5

As a result, I ordered a bag of regular size kibble and received a bag of small size kibble. The only disadvantage of the smaller kibble is that it tends to get stuck in my dogs teeth while she is eating it, as she is a black lab and not a small dog. As you can see in the picture, the kibble on the left is her regular food and the one on the right is Aside from that, I have no complaints; it was delivered on time, in a box, and in good working order.

My dog became ill from the previous bag over a period of weeks

Because the reviews were positive and the price was $12, I decided to try this product. For a 30 pound bag of food, it costs $15 less than similarly rated food. For a few years, everything seemed fine. My Labrador retriever started spitting it up after starting the latest 30 pound bag, and it quickly progressed to diarrhea. His vomit and feces were a bright yellow color. owing to Covid- He hasn't visited a dog park in over six months, at the age of 19. We walk or jog with him on a leash, and we don't feed him anything but dry food or table scraps. I looked up your history of recalls on Google. When it comes to formula changes, you don't have very good quality control. I put him on a very bland rice diet for a few days to settle his stomach, then switched him to Blue Buffalo Life Protection Adult Chicken and Brown Rice, which I had previously used, and he is fine. I bagged about 2/3 of your food and threw it out because I don't want another dog to get sick.

It has a dog-food odor to it
5/5

It resembles dog food in appearance. I haven't tried it myself, but my dog seems to enjoy it.

Good food for a reasonable price
5/5

I used to feed my dogs Nutro Essentials, but when the price went up and we got another large dog, it became too expensive, so I spent the next year trying to find a food that was comparable at a reasonable price. We never quite made it, but we did find a few good ones that the dogs enjoyed. br>My older daughter is extremely picky, and when we returned to Nutro a few months ago, she was overjoyed! Every meal, she cleans her bowl entirely. It's also a hit with the other two dogs, and their tummies are all in great shape, so I feel good about giving them the best I can. br>The new, very reasonable price makes it much easier for us to feed them high-quality food, and their health and coats reflect this.
