a circular cube of about 1/4" x 1/4" x 1/4" x 1/4" x 1/4" x 1/4" They're a good size, but they're a little flimsy. My 12-year-old chihuahua, who has trouble with most dry dog foods, has no problems with these.

I wish there was a way for me to give it a zero. After the dog became critically ill and was admitted to the hospital for two weeks due to liver problems, a sample was sent to NPL labs to confirm the high toxicity in the food. Currently fighting the manufacturer in court to recoup medical expenses. After two weeks without this food, Lab was able to recover. Even if this was a bad batch, the manufacturer will refuse to take responsibility. Amazingly, the dog became ill while eating the food and then improved once we stopped feeding him. Toxicity was proven in the lab. They'll now use any and all means at their disposal to eliminate the little guy. There is no sense of responsibility. Sad. We've lost tens of thousands of dollars and are on the verge of losing our research facility. For the time being, I'm using Fromm to help me lose weight.
I've been feeding this food to my dog for a few years and have never had any issues. On March 9th, we got a brand new bag. My dog was vomiting and very lethargic four days later. I assumed she was sick, so I kept a close eye on her, but she refused to eat for two days. I noticed she enjoyed treats and other foods but was uninterested in her own food. After reading other reviews, I realized it was the food that was causing her to become ill. We switched to a different type of food, and she is now eating and acting normally. This food has gone bad, or at least this batch has. I will not purchase this product again, and I would like a refund for the 40-pound bag that we recently opened.
This food is not something I would recommend after 6-hours of eating. We saw no change in weight after 7 months of feeding this to them, and the dogs were constantly hungry; I also noticed a rapid decline in their health. Around their eyes, both began to develop large tear stains. The corgi was puking on a semi-flat surface. on a regular basis, and both appeared to be much less limber and energetic. My corgi had stiff joints in his back legs before he started eating this food, but it seemed to happen a lot more afterward. We eventually did our research and switched them to a raw food diet, and the results have been astounding. They've both lost weight and appear to be much happier and more energetic as a result. They also no longer sit at their bowls and beg for food in between meals. After seeing how much of a difference that change made, I just can't believe this food is providing adequate nutrition for your beloved pets. Other kibbles might do a better job, but this isn't one of them.
The fact that this is so high in empty calories, high carbohydrate, low protein, and a lot of fiber is the only reason your dog will lose weight. When you compare the protein content, which is the most important ingredient for dogs, you'll notice that it pales in comparison to higher-quality dog foods like Orijen. Of course, better dog food is more expensive, but my dog eats as well as I do, and I simply cut corners to ensure that she is satisfied with her meals and does not have a BM five times per day. With Orijen, she only has to eliminate twice a day, rather than five times a day. It was awful, and I finally realized she wasn't digesting much of the food on this Hill. It temporarily satisfied her hunger, but because it passed through her system so quickly, she became hungry again, and her overall health and energy declined. Before you buy dogfood, do yourself and your beloved dog a favor and read dogfood reviews. Because there is more protein in her diet, she is more satisfied and eats less. High-carbohydrate, high-fiber diets aren't a kind way to lose weight. It's just a stopgap measure.
This food is a big hit with my 8-year-old Labrador retriever. It is devoured by her. She was a hulking, chubby woman. I'd always fed grain-based diets to my animals. When a veterinarian suggested it, I switched to this food. Despite feeding her the same amount of food as I did with the other quality brands, she has lost 20 pounds and is in much better health. Hill's is also a high-quality brand that helps people lose weight. I didn't have this level of success with my girl with the other weight loss brands I tried. Amazon's pricing is identical to Chewy's, and with my subscribe and save discount, it's a great deal. I enjoy receiving the big bag on a monthly basis, which is always delivered on time.
Because I had a diabetic dog and my multiple dogs ate out of each other's bowls, I'd been spending a small fortune on Science Diet W/D from the vet. Unfortunately, the diabetic dog passed away, but the other dogs were kept on the same diet. I decided it was time for a change, so I looked up this recipe online and decided to try it. So I did the usual mixing and am into my second bag and they are now on 100% food. There are no typical change-over issues, and both my Golden and Pomeranian dogs eat it. I tried other foods, but this is the most similar to what they're used to, and they like it. Plus, there's a coupon! My Golden Retriever even lost some weight! They like it, so I'm going to keep doing it.
I've also gotten the small bites, which he devours. We add water because it tastes better, I suppose. It's the way he used to eat, and he's getting older. br>In any case, he was overweight, which was causing his arthritis to worsen, so at the age of 82, he began taking this- 1 1/2 cup twice a day is the recommended amount. After 8 months, he's down to 70 pounds. which may be a little excessive in terms of weight loss. Heh, maybe we'll up the ante, or mix it with some wet stuff, or do a half-and-half with regular? He didn't know what it was yet, but it made him feel better. Personally, I am in need of this diet.
We tried a few other foods before returning to SD Perfect Weight because of its easy, consistent, and healthy stool. br>br>I also like to use Perfect Weight food as a filler in my KONG frozen treats: Soak the food in water to make it swell faster than any other food I've tried, then stuff it into a Kong and freeze it (along with some other healthy fruit pieces). This recipe makes a low-calorie frozen dessert. br>br>Due to early elbow dysphasia (diagnosed at 1 year old), we keep a close eye on our Labrador's weight. She'll be there for about 2 hours. 3 pounds heavier than she should be - Humans are to blame for providing extra training treats (she is a'starving' Lab) and reducing daily exercise. br>br>GSD, 8 months old - The flavor is also a hit - However, it is not her food; she requires weight to be added to her frame - As a result, she only receives a few pieces as Treats.
