Product Description

HEALTH, NUTRITION, AND FITNESS To keep an eye on potential health problems, keep track of your activity levels, calories burned, distance traveled, and activity, as well as behaviors such as licking, scratching, and sleeping. Questions & Answers

Is this product suitable for use in Colombia, a South American country?

Whistle is only available in the United States and Canada right now, but we hope to expand to more countries soon! Daniel, br>br>Best Regards,br>

The dog is in the yard, but the tracker says it isn't?

You'll get inaccurate readings all the time if you're on a 5Ghz network; Whistle only works on 2Ghz networks. 4Ghz. My internet provider upgraded my account, and now I receive multiple messages throughout the day stating that my dog is not at home. She was sitting next to me one day when I received a text from her saying she was over 400 miles away in another state. I was told that if she was outside, I'd get accurate readings, but I still get inaccurate messages if she's close to the house and out of wifi range. There isn't much that can be done.

Will this apply to Bluegrass Celluar as well?

Hello, Whistle GO is a game that makes use of the AT command. For tracking, you can use the T LTE network, but any cellular provider in the United States will suffice. for your mobile phone br>br>Daniel's best wishes,br>

It's useful for tracking down your animal's body after it's gone missing
3/5

USELESS! This has a safe zone where your wi-fi is accessible. fi reaches its limit. That's about a quarter mile around my house for me. It's pointless for a cat or dog who isn't allowed outside. If you're within WiFi range, the tracker switches to "power save" mode, and you have no idea where your animal is because it's turned off! In addition, the instructions state that you must set a large area to avoid false positives. I want to be able to track my pet's movements once he's gone a mile or more from home, not find a dead cat on the highway with a tracker around her neck.

IF YOU ALREADY HAVE THE WHISTLE 3, DO NOT UPGRADE
3/5

THIS IS A MUCH WORSE SITUATION. I bought a whistle 3 for my daughters and they absolutely loved it - Since they are escape artists and we are in the mountains, I have literally saved their lives several times. They would never have been discovered if it hadn't been for the Whistle. So I decided to upgrade solely for the increased battery life and features - What a blunder. The network must have changed because I now have ZERO live tracking capability and it keeps sending me false escape notifications - When they're literally lying on top of me, it'll say they're down the block. So I called customer service and spoke with Katelyn C, who was very helpful. She told me there was nothing they could do about it; they wouldn't let me exchange it for a Whistle3, wouldn't let me return the service fee, and so on. They essentially told me that I'm out of luck. After spending so much money with this company, I'm completely disgusted. I'll put the extra cash towards the Garmin.

DOGS ARE NOT THE ONLY ANIMALS INVOLVED! I have an indoor/outdoor cat with whom I am completely obsessed
5/5

It's not even that I'm embarrassed to say it. br>br>This small device has given me a great deal of comfort. You have no idea how much I wish I'd purchased a Whistle years ago. Thank you Whistle from the bottom of my crazy cat lady heart for allowing me to track him in this way; it has completely removed a major source of anxiety in my life. br>br>P. It's a little big for cats (as seen in the photos), but it's very light. If your cat is okay with wearing a regular collar, go ahead and do so. He/she won't mind if I use tags on him/her.

It falls short of my initial expectations
3/5

I was excited to set up my Whistle Go for my Miniature Pinscher when it arrived on time. I charged it for the recommended amount of time (2 hours) and received a notification on my phone that it was fully charged. When I unplugged it from the charging cable, I noticed a plastic connector beneath the device that fits into the notch of the collar attachment. It appeared to be cracked upon closer inspection. I followed the instructions for attaching the device to the collar, but it was too loose. The broken part couldn't keep a firm grip on the collar's attachment. I went to Amazon right away and requested a replacement. br>br>I still wanted to see how it worked, so I put it on my dog's collar and took him for a quick walk around the block. It locked up as soon as we left the "Safe Zone" of our home. The GPS became stuck at the current location and refused to update! We walked for about 30 minutes and the ten GPS signals were still stuck in the same spot. It wasn't even picking up on any movement! Please keep in mind that we adore Seattle and that I am an AT&T employee. In the area, there is a lot of T coverage. On my phone, there are no issues, but the Whistle Go is completely useless. I'll wait for the replacement and see how things go. I had high hopes for a newly released product, but it turned out to be a disappointing first experience.

This isn't going to make you feel better
3/5

My primary concern is ensuring the safety of my dog. Unfortunately, Whistle performed a technical update in September 2019 that resulted in a 5-day outage. When a device leaves and returns to a safe zone, there is a 7-minute delay in response. A 5- If your dog is "on the run," a 7-minute delay can mean a half-mile or more. "I have contacted tech support three times since purchasing my device in August 2019 and have only received the following response: "we have made the product TOO GOOD, and the tech fix does not have a timeline for this. " " I've had the product for five months, and four of those months have been plagued by this delay. Furthermore, the device will malfunction on a regular basis as Whistle tests new technology fixes. I've had to cancel dinners, meetings, and work at least ten times in the last four months because the device told me my dog had left his safe place, only to discover he hadn't. I initially assumed it was due to internet problems, so I purchased an internet-connected doggie camera. I'd jump into the doggie cam every time the Whistle went down, only to discover that there was no internet problem and that my dog was fine. When I asked for a refund of the annual subscription (only) the last time I spoke with customer service about the problem, I was told, "We don't give refunds, but we can give you a free month of service. " Why would I want a free month of service for a product that doesn't work? Overall, don't waste your money until Whistle guarantees that the technology has been fixed and that there are no more frequent malfunctions and delays.

Don't get the upgraded Whistle Version (the pro) of this - it's a waste of money
5/5

It's not going to work! This one, on the other hand, is absolutely fantastic! I'm not a computer program writing a fictitious review - I'm from Southern California, and I'd like to introduce myself: )br>br>I bought the more expensive version of this Whistle at first, but it didn't work out very well. I called Whistle customer service and got a REALLY great rep who explained to me that the technology on the updated Go Explore Pro is SO STRONG that this version of the Whistle doesn't "let go" or lose the Wifi connection (which is how you set up your invisible fence) very easily. br>br>I called Whistle customer service and I got a REALLY GREAT rep who explained to me that the technology on the updated Go Explore Pro is SO STRONG that This is not a good thing for this type of device; you want the connection to be able to be dropped quickly so that you can be informed as soon as your dog has escaped the invisible fence. br>br>Not only is this version less expensive, but it also has more features. It actually works, whereas the other does not; It's useless unless you want to be notified when your dog has strayed from the invisible fence and is hundreds of miles away from home.
