Thank you for reaching out with your inquiry. Unfortunately, Animo does not have a feature that allows you to monitor your pet's heart rate.
No, it's a bluetooth-updated app on your smartphone.
To receive updates, the app must be kept close to the device. It is not equipped with a GPS tracker.
I don't think there's any reason why it shouldn't be done.

It is extremely restricted and imprecise - It only provides data in 30 minute increments and only to the nearest 1/4 minute, with no option to export the information. The barking feature doesn't seem to catch most of my dog's barks, and there's no way to be notified when your dog barks, and it's only in 30-minute increments. The calorie tracker is functional, but it appears to stop monitoring for a few hours most nights; I'm not sure if this is a defect with my unit. It can only track your dog's sleep from 10 p. m. to 3 a. m. or 2 a. m. to 7 a. m. , and it must be consistent every night; it does not automatically figure out when your dog sleeps, so if you have a strange or irregular schedule, this could be an issue. Finally, I bought a dog tracker to quantify how anxious my dog is while I'm at work and how long it takes her to calm down after I leave, and it's only good at both of those tasks. It should suffice if all you want to do is make sure your dog gets enough exercise every day, but I wanted precision, so I'm going to get a fitbark.
The device will randomly stop working. The seller's website lacks a solid support section, and the links provided for an FAQ were broken until I alerted them to the problem. I used their web contact form to contact support and received a confirmation email and ticket. Now that the FAQ links are working, they are very basic and only offer simple obvious suggestions to 5 issues. I used their web contact form to contact support and received a confirmation email and ticket. After ten days, there has been no response of any kind. I contacted them via Twitter. After three days, they responded, requesting that I contact support, despite the fact that I had already submitted a ticket. They inquired about the ticket number and promised to investigate. After trying to contact them again via Twitter, I received no further information. Returning the product.
Both the FitBark and the Animo health trackers were purchased by me. Animo App is far more user-friendly than FitBark. Petcare also put a great deal of thought into the product. In comparison to FitBark, the setup is also much nicer. Finally, while using a battery may seem like a pain, it lasts a long time and is much less maintenance-intensive than FitBark (which requires regular charging). I'm not sure why there are so few positive reviews on Amazon. Still, I'm returning the item. br>br>My dog is a 7-pound chihuahua, so it's a little big for him. Because my dog's neck is small and short, it sometimes travels to the front, causing discomfort. To put it in perspective, the product is more than half the length of my dog's neck.
This allows me to keep track of how much activity she gets and how many calories she burns each day. After a week, the Animo will set activity and calorie burn goals for your dog. Gold stars are awarded if the objectives are met. It also monitors her sleeping patterns. The Animo has assisted me in ensuring that my dog receives more exercise than she did before I purchased the Animo. The reason for the four stars is that the Animo does not always sync right away, and you must try again; otherwise, I would highly recommend it.
It worked great with the first battery and lasted months on a single charge! However, when attempting to install the second battery, it does not align correctly and no longer syncs with the app, rendering it useless: (I'm disappointed because I enjoyed using this to keep an eye on my dog! It'll tell you how much activity they get each day, their sleep scores, and whether they're barking/itching/etc more frequently or not, so you can figure out if your pup needs medicine.
This is a product for dog owners who are completely devoted to their pets. It works well with the app, and I haven't had to replace the battery in a few months! I can set goals for my dog and receive notifications once she achieves them! It's entertaining, but there's no real need for it.
This is what I use to track our hunting dog's energy output; the data is fascinating. This will assist in adjusting the dog's food intake and allowing him to rest when he is exhausted. I would strongly suggest it.
It's a difficult situation.
