The Petfon App is a mobile application that allows you to communicate with your pets. At the top left, select the menu (3 bars). tap Geo- Fence. Tap " " in the upper right corner. The range can be selected using the option tabs (Radius, Geometric, and Danger). Points of interest can be found by tapping the map.
Use the loop and band that came with the kit; I chose to UV glue the band to the loop hooks.
Almost none
I've got two of these and they're fantastic. I charge them overnight, about every other day, just like I do my phone. I like these devices because they provide me with peace of mind - I have a small Chihuahua and a Jack Russell mix with a lot of energy; they're usually on leashes, but when they're running around here in Hawaii, I let them off the leash in remote areas. The manual claims 12 hours of battery life, which I believe is accurate; however, I charge them every night just to be safe.

We live in a rural/country setting, so the GPS feature is particularly useful. Unfortunately, our border collie/aussie mix misplaced it after about 12 hours, and we were unable to locate it because she crawls under things looking for critters. The good news is that customer service is outstanding. I sent them an email, and they replied quickly. They'll replace the tracker at no cost to you! Thank you, Petfon, for everything you've done for us!.
Only when my dog was right next to me did this device 'locate' her. It was always going out of service. While on vacation, I hoped to enjoy stress-free hikes. Trying to make this thing work was even more stressful for them. While customer service was ultimately helpful, it made returns far more difficult and complicated than they needed to be. We've exchanged 14 emails, according to my count. In addition, there is a clear linguistic gap.
I've had the product for a few weeks and it works great with no major issues. However, there are a few drawbacks to be aware of: (1) The fence tracker is ineffective for a backyard or a relatively small area. Because the tracker is typically about 25 feet away, it is unreliable for a small area. (2) In less than a week, my dog had broken the band. Fortunately, it comes with two, and you can get two more by leaving a product review. Alternatively, you could begin using the case.
It's a plus that it's simple to put together. I also like the fact that there is no monthly fee. It appears to be effective. I bought it in case my dog gets loose and decides to go on a walkabout on her own, which hasn't happened yet, but I took her to one location and then to another and was surprised at how precise the location was; it showed the street I was on and the street where she was. Very nice! I like the streamlined look as well, but there is a drawback - it takes up a lot of space. I'm a 70-year-old woman, and the elastic band you use to clip it to the dog's collar is extremely difficult to stretch onto the hooks on either side of the device; I simply don't have the strength in my fingers to get it off once it's on. So, instead of using my fingers, I discovered another option - my teeth! It's fine now, and the more I use it, the better I get at putting it on and taking it off. br>This is not, in my opinion, a reason not to buy the item; however, you should expect to have to train your fingers to use it. However, I believe it to be fantastic! Thanks.
This is an excellent product. It's incredibly simple to charge, and the battery lasts for the entire day. The best feature is the ability to record a message and control when it is heard by your dog. I used to yell at my dog to come home, and she would occasionally come right away, but not always. Now all I have to do is press a button on the controller, and the dog hears the message telling her to return home, which she does! I would strongly advise anyone who wants to keep track of their dog and call them home in a more discreet manner to purchase this product.
The product is extremely user-friendly, and it appears to be very accurate thus far. It's fun to see how many "paws" my dogs get throughout the day, and I was able to not only track their location, but I also realized that one of my dogs wasn't getting nearly enough exercise! I was hesitant to buy this product at first because it was more expensive than I had anticipated, but now that I've used it, I'd buy it again and again! I'm a helicopter puppy parent, and I love it when I get to take my babies on adventures. When I know I can track them with the app, I don't need a leash! Overall, it's entertaining and simple to use, as well as a huge stress reliever!.
65 miles. The good: I was surprised by how long the battery lasted. It took about 24 hours to reach a critical 20% warning after being fully charged. The intervals were set to 1 minute in this experiment. The disadvantages: br>br> I didn't go further than 200 yards on the track. The route I walked (yellow dots) is shown in the attached picture, and as you can see, the petfon device only picked up the first 100 yards or so and the last 100 yards. I put the tracker on my dog's harness and left my phone and control device on my porch to conduct this test. br>br>I was hoping for a 0 at the very least. I did this in the suburbs, so it was 65 miles. However, it didn't even come close to achieving a score of zero. 25 miles. br>br>I would not recommend this to anyone, and I would not rely on it for the safety of my dogs.
It's difficult to get it to work again if it doesn't. When it works, it works as intended, which is a good thing. You simply cannot get it to work when it doesn't.
