The bell has a diameter of 9 inches. The overall height is 7 inches. The tablets are held in a chamber that is slightly larger than 3" in diameter and slightly larger than 6" tall. It can easily hold five large (3") chlorine tabs.
Yes, 1" tablets can be used inside. If necessary, you can stack up to three of them.
Unfortunately, they are ruined when water gets trapped inside them. It happens from time to time, but the best solution is to simply replace the item.
It's comparable to a plastic ground coffee canister on its own. If you believe that a coffee canister will clean your pool, go ahead and use it on its own. Chlorine tabs are a good option. To be clear, once the tablets are completed, this is thrown into the pool.

When they're working properly, these units are fantastic. br>Last swimming season, I bought two of these units, and they were fantastic. They appealed to me because you didn't have to open the top to see if the units contained chlorine; all you had to do was look to see how buoyant the container was. You could tell you were running out of chemicals the higher it floated. That's all fine and good until they start leaking water into the housing chamber. When the unit is filled with water, it sits low in the water, giving the impression that the chemicals are still present. Because all of the tablets are now exposed to the water, the chlorine delivery is also affected. br>Anyway, one of my containers started to leak, so I bought this one to replace it. I started leaking after a week. Unfortunately, I did not put it to use right away because the weather was cool enough that only one canister was required. br>I purchased two more, but for a slightly higher price. I just opened the new units, and they look eerily similar to my originals. There is a difference, but it is not significant. We'll have to see how these turn out. br>It's too late to return the other one.
Chlorinator that is both simple and effective. We have a 14x42 Bestway pool, and we just throw in one 3" chlorine tablet and walk away! When opened with two holes, the tablet lasts for more than a week and chlorinates just enough. We had it completely open at first, but once we got it to the desired level, we were able to close it down to 2. It's super simple and inexpensive!.
In September of 2016, I purchased three (3) 0 - Two for my 33K gallon pool and one for my inground spa All three of them have now been discarded. br>br>Within the first three months, one of the top blue float sections leaked water - Despite the fact that it still had some air, it floated and functioned for another 7 months. I couldn't get the water out of it no matter how hard I tried (there were no obvious cracks or seal damage). br>br>About three months ago, I touched the lid of one of them while pulling it out of the pool to add more tabs, and it completely disintegrated, which I initially blamed on the Phoenix sun. But the bottom fell out of that one a month later. The lids on the other two began to disintegrate in the same way as the first, and the bottoms began to crack the following week. It's been a month since I left these two floating in the pool without lids, and it's time to replace them. br>br>As a point of comparison. When the Apollo Splash 16221 floater was only about $10 each, I bought it from Leslies many years ago. They lasted nearly three years and are now available for $16 each. I may return to that brand, but I'm going to start with Amazon's SplashTech brand.
It took two weeks for the first one to crack. I understand it's hot in Arizona, but please. Very let down. I didn't get it back in time. However, I must say that these are poorly constructed and far too thin. I don't believe this product will meet your expectations.
"It's a good deal, it's bold, and it works!" This is something I strongly suggest. "When I first got it, I wrote this as a review. However, by the end of the pool season, it had filled up with water and no longer wanted to float even when filled with five tabs, let alone three. I'm unable to get rid of the water that has found its way inside. As a result, I AM UNABLE TO RECOMMEND IT AT THIS TIME. IF YOU ONLY NEED IT FOR ONE SUMMER, DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY.
On the 8th of July, 2017, I bought two of these. One of the boats took on water and capsized after only a few days of use. After notifying Amazon, a replacement was sent. To cut a long story short, all three of these had taken on water and capsized by early September. br>Clearly, the adhesive used to join the top and bottom was either improperly applied or is unsuitable for chlorine exposure. Please wait until the manufacturer fixes this problem before purchasing this model. br>br>Note that I used a hot glue gun to try to fix the leak in one floater; It did not work. I'm currently attempting to repair a leak in another with Flex Seal Spray. I'll keep you updated on the results. September 2019: br>br>September 2019: br>br>September 2019: br>br>September 2019: So far, the leak has been stopped thanks to the Flex Seal. This summer, there will be no leaks. The cost of repairing the leak outweighed the benefits. I WOULD NOT RECOMMEND THIS PRODUCT based on my experience and what I've read in the other comments and questions.
You can put your trust in those people. reviews of 5 stars After a few months, mine, too, begins to collect water, just as the reviews claim. I can't seem to find a way to get the water out. When the wind blows, the dispenser will float sideways. I believe it will quickly sink to the bottom of the pool; I've never had a dispenser of such poor quality before. I recommend that you look for something else to do.
This was purchased to replace a cracked chlorine floater in my above-ground pool. a pool beneath the surface It arrived on time and in good condition. The price was reasonable at around $8. I have enough space for five people. It still floats when you put 6 three-inch chlorine tablets in it at once. It could also be used with one-inch chlorine tablets. You can partially adjust the chlorine availability by opening or closing the vents at the bottom. The top loading compartment is easy to open and close, but it locks so that kids can't open it in the pool by accident. If you're looking for a cheap chlorine floater, I strongly suggest it.
