It does, and if your water isn't particularly hard, try setting it to 2 instead of 4 instead.

Bromine is 150 g in the yellow cartridge and 200 g in the green cartridge.
It is dependent on how frequently you use your spa and how many people use it. Normally, I receive four stars. Bromine (yellow) cartridges are good for 6 weeks. When I clean my hot tub once a week, I also use Renew, bromine granules, and a clarifier (to achieve that ultra-clear water appearance).

I always buy Spa Frog Bromine and Mineral online because it's so much cheaper than in the store. It performs admirably, and I only have to check the spa chemicals once a week. I look for larger packages of 6 yellow bromine and 2 blue mineral because they are sometimes cheaper. Once a week, I'll have to add a booster - Bromine does not register on a test strip if it is not present. The booster, I believe, reactivates the bromine in the spa on a technical level. It was labeled "Oxidizer" or "Spa Shock" at the pool store, but after some research, I discovered that they were both potassium monopersulfate. br>br>Do yourself a favor and save a bunch of money. Buy the Bromine and Minerals, but leave the Spa Frog shock and oxidizer at home. For the same price as a few small bits of the same stuff from Spa Frog, I bought Potassium Monopersulfate from In the Swim and got years and years worth. I might throw in one or two more. 3 tsp. per 450 gallons per week.
The solution was to use this product. Snap the two cartridges into the holder, twist to select the desired number, and then place them in the hot tub. Done. That's not true. It's as simple as that! It maintains the purity of the water. I don't have to think about using the hot tub every day. When the yellow cartridge runs out of juice, it flips over and floats on its side, signaling that it's time to replace it. The yellow cartridge lasts a few weeks, while the blue cartridge lasts several months. One blue and three yellow kit should be enough to get you through the summer. This product is more expensive than simple tablets, but having clean, clear water without having to test and adjust chemicals on a regular basis is well worth the investment.
The yellow cartridge does not work, but the mineral cartridge does. br>How do you know for sure if the mineral cartridge is working? br>My Caldera Martinique is two years old, and we make sure the chemicals are in perfect working order. br>Now, we've always used the purple cartridges, and they've always worked well; you could set it to 3 and forget about it for about 4 weeks. Unfortunately, they are no longer available on Amazon. br>We ordered these yellow ones and set them to three, no bromine, five, no bromine, and all the way up, but it still wouldn't give us the one. 0 - The manufacturer recommends a bromine level of 0 ppm. For the first two years, there was never a problem; however, when the color changed to yellow, I had to remove the cartridge from the in-line area and shake it in the spa to release the required amount. br>This story has a happy ending; we discovered the purple ones at Hot Tube Warehouse and ordered a case. br>I don't understand why they're no longer available on Amazon. I've noticed that sellers' responses to customer questions tend to be sales pitches touting the product's superiority. It's not just one bad cartridge; the first one didn't work and I had to replace it after 10 days, and the second one also doesn't work.
This system was included in my spa when it was purchased in 2017. I've followed all of the instructions to the letter, but I'm still having water issues. Every day, we spend 40 minutes in our spa. B/4 getting in, we shower, and I wash our spa clothes in HE detergent. a second wash Nothing is going to help. I'm not sure how effective the minerals are. After a year of battling my spa's water, I'm going back to the tried-and-true bromine floater I've been using for 15 years.
We didn't look forward to having to add chemicals to keep our hot tub clean when we first bought it. We discovered the King Technology/SPA Frog Cartridge Kit, which turned out to be the best purchase we'd ever made. Our hot tub is easy to use and maintain. Simply drop the cartridge into the floating device and figure out the number to place it on. We are very pleased with this product and will continue to use and recommend it to anyone who owns a spa.
We had no idea how to maintain the spa that came with our house. Fortunately, it has the Frog system, and once we got the hang of changing the water and shock treatment on a regular basis, these things did a great job of keeping the water clean.
We don't use test strips because our water is always crystal clear. Everyone I know who owns a hot tub has heard about it, so I've recommended it to them. Making having a hot tub a pleasure rather than a chore.
This product is recommended for my spa, but it was originally intended to be used with Chlorine rather than Bromine. Since switching to these Bromine, my Spa has never been cleaner. This is a product that delivers exactly what it says on the tin.
