Questions & Answers

Can I use this in my 120" x 72" x 22" inflatable pool safely?

The Duck has never attacked me before. So, yes, you can use it in your pool; I'd just put one tablet in there and get a test kit to keep track of the chlorine level.

Are there any other animals available?

I can't recall what I ordered because it's been a long time.

When this float is empty, does it tilt?

It doesn't actually tilt, but the difference in appearance when it's empty is noticeable.

My name is Barbara, and I'd like to know how to open it. ?

Simply separate the top (goldfish) from the bottom (white part) by twisting. The first time, I had to exert some force.

Life Hacks for Fish Floaters So, I bought a cute little fish named Jeffrey to chlorinate our new spa, and we started having the same problems that every other 1-bedroom apartment has
5/5

It had a five-star rating. I knew he looked cute and had a lot of potential even though he was floating on his side, not really doing his job. I approached this situation as if I were dealing with a talented employee who just needed a little push to step up and shine. (Even rock stars fall off the stage from time to time. ) ) I found a very precisely calibrated instrument in the backyard (in the form of a concrete rock) to add to the mix to weigh him down a little because the engineers at Milliard didn't give him a fair shake during the design process. This did not produce the desired results. So we threw a Hail Mary and added a second rock (found in the backyard this time, but you can use any rocks from any location such as the beach, the road, a construction site, blah, blah, blah) to the mix, and Jeffrey is chlorinating the spa like there's no tomorrow. When the free chlorine level rises too high, I even take him out. Jeffrey is everything I'd hoped for in a chlorinating fish, and then some! The kids adore him, and he always has that grin on his face, as if he just ate the cat (or as if the cat had just eaten the fish). So, disregard the negative reviews and order a Jeffrey for yourself, as well as a set of balls for him. My only gripe is that he does not come with a pair of shoes. Hot tubbing is a great way to relax.

UPDATE: August 27, 2018 UPDATE: August 27, 2018 UPDATE: August 27, 2018 The vents work perfectly. Every week or two, I replenish the chlorine tabs. This one floats perfectly, just like the previous one. In the pool, she looks really cute. My rating has been raised from two to five stars! br>br>UPDATE: MARCH 15, 2018 UPDATE: MARCH 15, 2018 UPDATE: MARCH 15, 2018 UPDATE: A new unit was delivered to me! The vents on this one appear to work properly. My rating has been raised from two to four stars. I've been preoccupied with schoolwork, so the pool has been shut down. As a result, neither chlorine nor floating have been used to test it. In a month or two, I'll provide another update. Please accept my apologies. For a small pool or spa, this is a really cute floating chlorinator
5/5

This chlorinator was purchased for a small inflatable pool in which my dog enjoys cooling off after a walk. It's both adorable and functional. It can hold large 3" chlorine tablets, but I prefer the smaller 1" ones because my pool is small and I don't want to over-chlorinate it. Because my dog drinks some of the water, I set the chlorine control to the lowest setting (which is very easy to adjust). I believe that the water is safe for my dog due to the low setting and the small tablets. A great product from a great vendor that arrived quickly.

The chlorine dispenser was twice as expensive and became difficult to reinstall after only a few uses
5/5

The previous chlorine dispenser was twice as expensive, and after only a few months, it became difficult to reinstall. This one is not only adorable to look at, but it also opens and closes with ease. The amount of chlorine disperses is proportional to the number of vents that are open. I think he's doing a fantastic job.

It's cuter and it gets the job done
4/5

It's very cute, but it's a little bigger than I expected. This is in an Intex 10' self-inflating pool that I have. Because the dispenser is about 2" wide, you can easily fit 1" tabs inside. I have about three of them. We have four people in it because there is no pool cover and it is in direct sunlight. You must keep an eye on the bottom because it does not lock open or closed. If water can't get in and out of the tabs, they won't work. It doesn't always stay level and floats at an angle, which I believe is due to the recommended tabs being too small and moving around. But it does the job, and it's also cute:.

As if you were a dog! This is one of my all-time favorite nonsense purchases
5/5

Until I came across this one on Amazon, I had no idea that these kinds of chlorine dispensers existed. I knew we had to have it as soon as I saw it, and I've been enjoying watching him swim around in our pool every day since I put him in. I like that it can hold up to three tablets at once, and one of my favorite features is that when the tablets dissolve, the fish falls over on his side, so there's no guessing when it's time to eat again! Another plus is that the color is so vibrant, and he has such a cute face. The quality of the materials appears to be excellent. I'm sure this is a purchase I'll be happy with for a long time!.

It was necessary to change out
3/5

It's adorable, but putting it back together can be a little tricky. Even though I have it as open as it can go, it doesn't seem to release as much chlorine as the larger ducks I've had before. This could become a problem during the summer in Phoenix, necessitating replacement. br>br>UPDATE: br>br> I had to place an order for a replacement, as I had anticipated. While I do not have the tipping issue that some people do, it simply does not release enough chlorine to maintain an adequate level- Despite the fact that there are three tabs in place. At least three times per week, I must add liquid chlorine. With previous floaters, we've never had this problem. We won't be able to do it while we're on vacation, either.

It's adorable, but it's not very useful
3/5

I don't usually write reviews, but this is something I think you should know about. This chlorinator was purchased because I thought it was adorable, which it is! It's a flop in terms of functionality. According to some reviewers, three to four chlorine tabs are required to maintain the balance of this chlorinator. I must say that it is a complete waste of money in my opinion. Chlorine tabs are pricey, so I only use one at a time, but that could be due to personal preference. More than once, I've had to remove this adorable little guy from my filter. That, I believe, is due to the fact that, as the tab gets smaller and smaller, he ends up floating on his side. This is the first time I've ever had a problem with a chlorinator. It's possible that the goldfish needs to be slightly larger and/or weighted to avoid getting stuck in the filter.
