Questions & Answers

There are no rules! I connected my pole to the hose and turned it on, but nothing happened. Is there anyone who can assist me?

If you've got the pole and the water hose (I recommend a soft water hose), you're ready to go. The leaf bag should be secured to the rim at this point. Turn on the water by holding the device over the pool. Lower the leaf catcher into the water, making sure the leaf bag is upright. The water should be turned up to its maximum setting. Move the leaf catcher slowly across the pool's bottom using the pole. This is an excellent device that performs admirably. If the leaves aren't being picked up, make sure the water is on high.

What is the mechanism behind this? Is it necessary to hook up to the pool vacuum?

No, you connect the hose to the pool, turn on the water, and begin vacuuming the pool's bottom; the water creates a vacuuming effect, and debris rises into the bag.

What is the item's bottom-end diameter?

I'm not sure what I'm saying. However, I returned mine because of the poor design. When I vacuumed, the plastic pin that held the handle in place was flimsy and kept falling out. The contents of the bag are being sunk to the pool's bottom! For a while, I used a zip tie, but it was too time consuming.

Is there a pole included in the set?

A pole isn't included. A standard pole will have to be purchased separately.

It performs admirably for the task at hand! First and foremost, this is not intended to replace your regular pool vac; rather, it is intended to be used as a supplement to your regular pool vac
5/5

Every year in New England, when we go to remove the pool cover, it goes pretty much the same way. Everything is fine until the last dregs of water and leaves collect in the last pouch of the pool cover, and there is ALWAYS more than you thought was left. Someone fumbles or the cover rips while lifting that crap out of the pool, and a crap-storm ensues. The pool is clogged with leaves and debris. The leaves are a pain to deal with. You try scooping leaves with the skimmer net attached to the pole and get about 3 leaves per scoop. You try to use the pool vacuum, but it clogs every two minutes. br>This tool attaches to the pole, and you use a regular garden hose to run it over the leaves on the pool's bottom. The leaves are pushed upwards into the mesh bag by the rushing water. I'd run the pool filter for a while beforehand, and the movement of the water had gathered most of the leaves into a single pile, making it simple to collect them all in a matter of minutes. As I previously stated, the finer particles will require the use of your pool vac. Overall, it's a fantastic time-saver!.

Without the pool pump, it's simple to use
5/5

Without the pool pump, it's simple to use. Less expensive than other products I bought for leaves. I believe this was a good purchase because of the attachments. It's easy to connect and disconnect the hose as long as you don't tighten it; it's faster than using a cleaning machine, and there's no need for a pump skimmer connection. I'm just not sure how long my metal pole will last with a plastic handle connection.

It performs better than I anticipated, but I'm not sure how long the plastic construction will hold up
5/5

It picks up leaves and leaf fragments down to a fraction of their original size, which is better than I expected. It does, however, appear to be cheap and fragile, so we'll have to wait and see how long it lasts. I expect the plastic stub onto which the pole clicks to be a weak point, and the mesh bag to rot if left in contact with the chlorine and chemical or exposed to the sun for an extended period of time. I keep it indoors and try not to overtorque it when using it; I'd pay three times the price for a well-built one.

My Intex pool is so easy to clean with this
5/5

This is fantastic! It's incredibly quick and simple to clean up all of the leaves that fall into the pool on a daily basis. To get the leaves into the center area, we first make a quick whirlpool. The water is then turned on. The leaves and debris are sucked up in less than five minutes. This used to take an eternity with the small pool cleaning tool, and it actually does a better job than the robot, which would get too full and stop working. I strongly recommend this product, and I'm not being paid to say so.

It works perfectly! This is a colossal piece of machinery! That's exactly what we were hoping to find
5/5

It works great and picks up everything, even the sand from the filter that blew back into our pool when it broke down. The net is enormous and can hold a lot of debris from our 30 foot round pool.

It does exactly what it says
5/5

Every time there is a wind or a storm, large trees drop their droppings. This leaf bagger is ideal for all of the bulky items. When I first got my above-ground pump and filter, I had a lot of trouble with the leaf bagger stirring up a lot of dirt and sand. I'd have to turn off the water and use the leaf blower instead. Then give it a day for the small particles to settle on the bottom and the vacuum to work. Now that I have a powerful pump, the small items simply vanish.

After 5 minutes of use, it broke
3/5

After only five minutes of use, this broke. When I replace the pin that came out of the pole attachment, it comes out again. br>br>For my previous skimmer, I ended up reusing the wheels and net. br>br>As a side note, the concept is sound; it's just the design that needs to be improved. br>br>Under the current design, I would not recommend purchasing this device.

So far, I've been disappointed
3/5

This item was not new when I received it. Instead, I received a repackaged return from another customer who had discovered the same mistake I had and had returned the item. The issue is with the flange that secures the net to the main body by pressing it together. It was loose in my case and will not stay in place when used. That means that as the item collects leaves at the bottom of the pool, the flange will eventually come off, dumping everything. NOT GOOD! The item is rendered useless due to this flaw. Not only should the flange be permanently attached/glued, but it should also be a 'press fit. ' This and similar items have previously been purchased by me and have proven to be effective. Unless the item is defective or the vendor repackages and re-sells the item, it's far too simple not to. Returns and defective merchandise are sent to the 'next' customer. This broken item will be replaced by Amazon, which is fine. assuming that the same issue does not recur. In the meantime. . . My pool still has a lot of leaves at the bottom. br>br>Recent changes: br>br> In fact, Amazon promptly sent me a replacement item that had the same issue. flange that has become loose When gathered leaves are submerged, it will not hold. So. THIS IS THE TIME. I glued the flange to the main body with epoxies. Now is the time to leave! Another item manufactured in China with poor quality control; however, the basic design is effective, and the net/bag included is fine mesh and of good quality. I just wish the Chinese had done a better job the first time.
