In our case, we drained the pool before applying the patch (although I have heard of people applying it underwater), and it was very easy to do. In the end, I put a lot of adhesive on the patch (it was about 3 inches x 3 inches), applied it over the hole, and then used an adhesive brush to paint around the perimeter of the patch after it had been applied. I let it sit for an hour or two (this probably wasn't necessary) and then refilled it. We've had the patch for 2 weeks now, and it still works! summer, we had a liner that started leaking and we patched it with flex seal tape. It worked for the summer, but when we put it back up the next summer, the tape was no longer holding up. I will update as soon as we set it up again later this summer and next summer. done would have been to cut the patch a little smaller, so that if I had to, I could have cut a larger patch in the future to cover the current one if it leaked. The update for 9-09 has been posted. I am approaching two months into using the patch, and I have still not faced leaks. There is a slight pink tinge around the edges so you are aware if you look at it from the side or while swimming, however, I am pleased with what is revealed! In the spring, when we open the pool again, we will update you The following are the last two updates There is still a sealed 21 Patch. Following the roll-up of the liner and storage in the garage for the winter, we have set up the pool again. Around the edges, the patch had peeled back a little. A rag was used to clean under the edges of the patch, then some more adhesive was applied and it was smoothed back out. Even though the patch was sealed in the middle, the middle appeared to be intact. A picture of the patch has been posted on Amazon suggesting it be cut in a circle. At least I would have been aware of that when I bought this patch, but I don't believe instructions were available at that time. Perhaps the edges would not have peeled if we had cut it in a circle. Even so, the patch remains in place. I really like this product it's great!.
It is so easy to use and works well for in-water treatment. The patch could not be seen with the filter on so I turned it off for a couple of days. We kept up our above ground pool all winter, so we cut about five patches to fit. During the time I was fishing them out, I made small holes and patches because my 2 year old kept putting rough pebbles in the pool. The patch worked just as well with square and circle shapes! Despite being just on cement, the pool is quite large.
It kept deflating after I got a second-hand hot tub and I was very excited to enjoy it. After reading the comments of this stuff, I gave it a shot after making some quick research. As I dropped the applicator right away, it got dirty, so I applied a little bit of gel to a piece of vinyl, then applied A second application of gel was added to the top, and the edges were smoothed with it. My eyes were opened within seconds to the ability of this stuff to work. As if it was chemically fusing the vinyl to the inflatable hot tub material (also vinyl, isn't it?.
I used this kit to solve the problem. 1 month has passed since the start of the year. It's been 5 months and it hasn't leaked one drop! Worth it every single time. The cement should be layered on to avoid any folds, and then it should be lowered slowly into the water to avoid.
I cleaned the area and unrolled tightly rolled vinyl, applied adhesive, and applied to the pool. The patch unrolled from the surface when applied, and I tried holding it and releasing it, but it is still not holding. My daughter used a patch that came with a kids inflatable toy and it worked better than this one.
I liked how fast it worked and how easily it was.
In order to identify leaks on an above-ground vinyl pool liner, I applied a blue dye with great care. Using the dye, I was unable to detect anything. It was possible to see a few linear bubbles in the liner, however and if I ran my finger into the area above where these bubbles stopped within a couple of inches, I was able to feel what I suspected could be a pin hole that I could not I may have scrubbed too vigorously with a brush when I cleaned the algae on the pool wall. After letting the pool drain on its own, the water stopped a couple of inches above these bubbles in the liner. By gluing on large bands of the replacement vinyl and holding it against the side, I was able to smooth it out as best as Where the corners did not stick, I put glue on the back of a plastic spoon and used it to rub directly against the liner under water and pressed the hanging flaps together. I couldn't believe after refilling the pool, it no longer leaked after nearly two decades.
The best above ground pool patch kit there is. It even works when there is a lot of water in the pool. Place the patch on the decal and hold for 20 seconds or so to ensure there is enough adhesive on the patch.
