In the box there are four packets of two. Grassland and fish are both problems in my small pond, so I use this product in liquid form. It is shown on Amazon to be a mixture of liquid and powder packets, so I ordered it thinking it was the liquid. However, it appears to be the newer version of the newer version, which has only The liquid is much easier to use, so I will use these instead, but it remains to be seen whether they are as effective as the powder. If the maker could provide some explanation about the product, that would be great.
The problem is that it didn't work, but I really wanted it to. My favorite part of the dissolving packets was how easy they were to dissolve. Toss this into the pond and it will float. Those with aquatic plants need to be aware of this. The water hyacinths in this pot started dying a few days after I put it I noticed neither my lilies nor my water poppies were damaged. The only thing I changed in my pond was this product. I cannot be sure that this caused any harm to my hyacinths. You should just be aware of this.
Using this product for my Koi pond every year since 2005 we have never had any problems with fish or plants. My pond is about 6,000 gallons so it's approximately six feet deep at water fall. We have never had any problems with fish or plants.
I love this product - I've used it a lot Getting rid of string algae and murkiness on the pond was done in a day like no other plan. However, you ought to also be able to combat algae. Having previously had clear water for 3 days, I suddenly observed a bloom of scum algae.

In the old days, this product came with 32oz of liquid starter, followed by one packet per week. For a better idea of what I'm actually getting, I will have to go back and shop at my pond store. There is no fault on the seller's part. In the contract, it was clearly stated what I would be receiving. Because of how little product is available for the size of my pond, I simply assumed it was old product.
The process is so simple you'll wonder how you ever got along without it.
Since I bought it years ago, I have used it. Fish are kept happy and the pond is kept clear.
