They are, in fact, the same filters.

In the 300g set, why does the wool pad resemble a blue sponge?

Due to the fact that there are three types of pads: one each of white, green, and blue

Is this also going to fit the 300 gallon? Do they appear to be of comparable size?

The 600, on the other hand, has larger dimensions. Maybe you could cut them down to size?

I purchased a five-pack. I only have one pump and have recently replaced the original filers (yuck). I had no idea the blue and green ones could be rinsed out, and the white one was exactly what I needed. The maintenance kit, however, includes all three filters, much to my surprise: (with 6 replacement whites) - Awesome! These filters are effective and will keep the water in your pond clear and clean.

I tried to buy some of these at my local Lowe's, but they were sold out. br>I was expecting these to be knock-offs and not fit because they were half the price on Amazon. They are, however, the genuine article and are a perfect fit. In a few months, I'll be purchasing these again.

This is a great all-in-one pump for small ponds in the backyard. This pump has kept a strong hog flow in my 260 gallon pond with regular filter maintenance and cleaning. Keep your purchase receipt because Pennington offers a fantastic two-year parts warranty. Because the parts are made of molded plastic, they will wear out over time, but I've always received prompt service and replacement parts.

Cleaning is impossible; In our small outdoor pond (just a tad larger than a baby pool), they fall apart in less than a week.

These things clean everything and are so simple to clean that they make us feel like we're missing something. You can get two or three uses out of each filter if you clean it once a week or so.

The inner white filters are extremely thin and cannot be reused, but they function as intended. These aren't meant to be kept for long periods of time.
