There is a 6 inch one on mine. Connection of the pump with the filter requires a 3/4-inch hose.
It would be about right if that's the case
My Louisiana fountain is a 48" sugar pot with a small pump that operates on a single hole. It keeps the water clear for me as long as I keep the goldfish and koi together, but due to the warm weather here, I have to clean and rotate the filter about three times a week. It is possible for me to go 3 when it is cooler It is recommended to change filters every four weeks.
-) I once had a 550 gallon salt water aquarium. It had a gravel bottom, charcoal filter My experience over the past few years teaching has taught me that one fish is sufficient in salt water and given the size and shape of my aquarium for my aquarium. A number of invertabrets were delivered to me baskets, sea cucumbers and cleaner shrimps, and did fine with them. There is no way to eliminate ammonia or nitrogen waste produced by fish with this kind of filter. In order to make the combination of a carbon filter and a mature gravel bottom work, obviously a large volume of water and a much larger carbon filter will be required. It would be best to consult the folks where you buy your fish or other critters as to what you will need for your set-up In fact, the filter served only to prevent clogging the pump in the first place it will not have any significant impact on nitrogen waste caused Maybe this can help. It's an old question from 2014, but maybe someone will find it helpful.

First there was a skimmer which ended up sucking in and killing a few fish and tadpoles, then there was a filter above ground and now The water has never looked so clear. It is by far the best filter I have ever used. You must let the pump run until after the filter is taken out of the water in order to clean it without dumping dirty water back into it. The fact that this filters the water before it flows through the pump is also appealing to me.
Four years ago, I inherited a couple of these filters along with my house. There were two split 500 gallon bags in the shipment. The courtyard contained a fish pond. Sorry, I forgot to take a picture of it. As I tried to handle one, I bent the outlet flange, so I had to order another. I replaced the old one with the new one and it works flawlessly. There are filters installed on it as well. There may be a need to add weight to get them to sink if you have to open it up (4 screws). Due to its PVC plastic nature, the broken one was easily fixed with a little MEK (Methyl Ethyl Ketone).
There is also the possibility of using pipe cement.
I had a difficult time getting the filters out. This is a replacement for an older unit I owned. In order to replace filters without removing the unit from the pond, my goal was to be able to remove the top and replace the filters. This filter works fine as a filter, but you still have to take it out to remove filters. I found the top very tough to remove after being in the water for awhile.
This is a filter I have used before for years and find it to be of high quality. I would recommend this pond filter for anyone with a plastic hardshell pond up to a 10ft by 10ft rubber liner pond with a light to medium fish load. Danner has a record of producing/selling high quality pond items over the years. Any size mag drive pump between 350 gph and 2400 gph can be used with this. Nevertheless, I would say it is perfect for pumps with a flow rate of between 1200 and 1800 gallons per minute.
Many years ago, I was the owner of one of these. In the end, it broke and I quickly replaced it with the same part. The product is well worth the price It is quite common for them to be The filters need to be replaced every season, and it seems to work well!.
Despite my failure to replace the top grille, the machine still functions.
You will be glad you chose this one! Im just wondering if you can get only the top grate.
The filter screen works well for smaller ponds, it is easy to clean and re-insert into the pond after cleaning. They were not good for a pond my size (3000 gal). I would have needed 6 to 8 of these filters to keep my pond clean, and I should not have used.
Despite having a similar filter in the past, this one was a replacement for it. It hasn't been necessary for me to clean the filter as often since I replaced it. What a great idea! I found that when I do clean it is easy to disconnect the pump and to break it down, clean the various layers and pieces, then reinstall it It is assembled and reassembled We are connected.
