This roll has a length of 72 inches and an overall width of 12 inches. If you needed a different size for your project, you could cut it to that. The money you save by buying this roll is well worth it. As a course media, I consider this. Although the fibers are stiff and dense, they are strong and strong. As the plastic dust floats in the water, it breaks down into tiny black pieces. In the case of live animals, I would never use this product due to the possibility of bits of plastic coming out. Also not good for the environment because it is near impossible for the bits of plastic to be recycled again.
excellent product. I use it for my Koi and Goldfish aquarium (which is overstocked) and I can keep my aquarium clean for over a month with no issues. In my ocean aquarium and Oscar tank, I used the roll that precut the filter pads and I maintain the tanks once a month to keep the water clear, not to get rid of the cloudiness. My aquarium care has been significantly reduced and I am now able to keep my tanks clean and my fish happy using these pads.

It transformed into a completely different pond in less than 24 hours! There is a lot of water in our pond- A 20' waterfall with a pool at the bottom that is about 6 feet deep. The filter media that I use has been in my possession for almost a month now. The way I use it is as a pre-mortem I need a filter for a pond with 20 goldfish in it that is 1500 gallons. Cutting it with scissors was not difficult for me. With a coarse, somewhat stiff texture and a 1" thick layer, it captures a lot of debris and allows the pond to remain clean. It was initially necessary to clean it once every day, but now I only clean it every 4 days with a garden hose, which only takes 5 minutes to clean all the waste out of it.
It filters out most anything and keeps my pond looking clean. As opposed to the blue filter, this one is much better because I used to purchase it, but it broke down after 3 weeks, and I found it useless. As for Aquatic Experts' service department, they are excellent as well. Being a pond owner since 2004, I have used many filters, but this product stands up to the test. A debris blockage in the impeller of the pump was the major problem. The filter is now made of 3 layers of this material, which draws water through it. There are 3 layers, coarse on top, medium on top, and fine at the bottom. I have never seen a pond stay clean so frequently in my life. Should I be asked to do it again, I would do exactly what I did the first time. The best thing that has ever happened to me.
