Questions & Answers

Is it possible to overcharge a battery if it is left on a charger for a ?

Not at all. It seems that everything I've read seems to support this. The smart charger works with smartphones, tablets, and laptops. I leave mine on all the time, but it doesn't seem to be active when the battery is full (the fan runs and makes noise when the battery is Having come from 4 cycle engines for years, I must say, this is great!

Do you need a good source for buying exact replacement blades online? Snapper dealers do not serve my area and do not have much of a presence on the Internet. ?

Amazon unfortunately does not have the blade you need for this mower. Sears Parts Direct and Outdoor Power Direct offer this blades part at a low price. The part number for this blade is #770191.

Approximately how long does it take each battery to fully charge? I need to know how many batteries there are. Does he (Joe)?

We offer batteries that are either 4 amps or 5 amps. Although I don't remember if Amazon offers the 4 amp, I am sure that it does not offer the 5 amp. The Snapper seller was the one I had to purchase it from. This doesn't come cheap, but the charge lasts for a longer period, which makes using it less frustrating. There were two two amps ones that got used up in less than 20 minutes, which was frustrating. It takes a long time for the batteries to charge. One would be charged and the other would be used for mowing. In the case of the second one being used, I would still need to wait until the first one was completely recharged. In order to be competitive, Snapper needs to offer the mower with an optional 4/5 amp battery. As well as a quick charger, it is needed.

To mulch grass, if you don't have the bag, can you mow without it?

If you do not have a bag, this unit can be used You will want to make sure the mulch plug is in place and that the side discharge cover on the side of the mower is down if you want to mulch.

This is awesome
5/5

There is nothing like this mower when it comes to The decision was on the fence for me. An old Black & Decker cordless seemed to be running low on battery power - It lasted between 3 and 4 passes, depending on how much battery power it had. For a few weeks, we used an assortment of products to mow the lawn, from an attachment for a weed whacker to other equipment to get things done It made a lot of sense! It has a really narrow cutting path, though. Having looked at ALL cordless ones on Amazon, I decided not to buy a single one. In some cases, a corded was even considered. Reviews are a lot of fun to read. A cordless product with multiple batteries, good power, and cordless is what I needed. In all the others, I found something to dislike. I love Greenworks, Ego, and Replay, among many other things. It looked like a good option, but there was no availability I'm scheduling a few months away. Is that true? This is summertime in our part of the world. Reviews of the Snapper are few and far between There is no problem, but everything is fine. Next, let's look at the review itself. It is obvious from the first look at this mower that it is built to last. What about batteries? Oh my gosh. If they aren't actually ZPMs from Stargate Atlantis, I wonder what they could be! The reference is not for those of you who cannot appreciate the size and heft of these cushions - suffice it to say, they are very good quality- Also included is a little button that tells you how much battery power you have Charges take less than 30 minutes for each, and there are two of them. While one is being charged, use it up or weed whack, or take some time off. Besides, the battery does not slowly loose power and then slowly taper off to just a barely spinning blade as it would if it slowly lost power over time Full strength is maintained until there is no more left. My favorite part of that is There is nothing wrong with this mower part it is quite sturdy, metal mostly, and feels really good to use. I had no problem turning it on its side to clear out the grass debris even though it is quite heavy. The expectations I had when making this purchase were that it would be excellent for mowing I kept thinking to myself that I was still going to be disappointed SOMEHOW. Then I realized I was mistaken Using this mower is the same as using a gas mower because it cuts well, is powerful, and is extremely durable. The mower feels just like a gas motor. Feels good to be here. laughed at a few reviewers who said their lawns are looking forward to being mowed. Having now understood what they mean, I can now respond. As I didn't use the bag that came with my mower, I mowed over grass debris and some grass hairs were left and stuck to the blades. As a result, I am not disappointed, as I would expect it from any mower. I did the whole front lawn and part of the backyard on the first battery, and I am pretty particular about it. It would have been better if I had taken pictures of my backyard. The fields were cluttered with weeds, thick stalks, and weedbushes. Snappers destroyed them in a matter of moments. Considering how low the low setting is, it is actually quite If you are not sure how to use the hard plastic locking arms, you might want to start off at the second or third lowest setting and see what your cut looks like. Very little assembly is required (just check the included pictures on the instruction diagram if you are not sure). There is also a lot of quiet here. One day as I was finishing up my mowing, the neighbor across the street started his gas mower and he "annoyed" me with the noise and the smell of gas. Here, you won't find any of that. The purchase I made has been very, very satisfying to me.

This is a bad mower
3/5

Do not purchase it. Once I opened the box and began assembling the mower, I found that one of the handle bolts had been lost. A customer assistance representative told me that my request for a bolt had been there for 25 minutes. If I wanted it today, I would have received it the following morning. A few minutes later I called back and waited again for 15 minutes before learning that my mower was not the correct model. Once I had taken a picture of the serial number tag on the mower deck, I called back a third time. My 15 minute wait for an assistant was yet again met with disappointment after I was told once again that it was the wrong Despite my inquiry, he hung up on me before he could found the tag with the serial number. I asked to speak to his supervisor, but he didn't respond. There is absolutely no customer support available for this product. I find it completely absurd and unacceptable that there is this level of frustration over getting a bolt. I would recommend anyone considering purchasing this mower to reconsider and buy another brand.

A gas-producing industry I am powered-up A battery-powered device A few days ago, I had the opportunity to use the Snapper SXDWM82K 82V battery converter
5/5

I very rarely test products, but my recent experience with it prompted an opinion. An exception was made for me in this case because I owned a powered mower. I purchased the mower through Amazon Prime in what appears to be a factory-fresh condition

I bought it as a Prime item and it arrived in 2 days as guaranteed
It is sealed in its original container. As well as the lawn mower, two 82V, 2 amp hour batteries, a battery charger, mulching and side discharge hardware, and instruction manuals, you’ll find them in the box. Almost no assembly was needed from unboxing to full "assembly. " (What needed to be done was barely a task fit for The assembly of the mower from its shipping configuration to its use configuration (aka "assembly") was intuitive and not complicated the instructions were not required and the mower worked well If you look through the manual, you will find instructions clearly presented if you decide to use this feature. In addition to the two batteries included with the mower, there are two extra I thought it was worth mentioning that there is only one charging unit, so only one battery can be charged at a time. This is not a problem for me, but I thought it was worth noting. As the mower can only hold one battery at once, you will likely only need one battery to get the job done and the other will be a spare. Depending on how big your yard is and how long you plan to use it, you may only need to use one battery. With just one battery, I was able to mow a 2,800 square foot lawn in 12 minutes. I will provide more details in a moment. I will be completely honest about what I do It has only been one time since I used the mower, but I was so impressed with it that it was worthwhile to write a I was so impressed by my experience that I decided to write about it *My lawn was given a little TLC this year, and after a few months of TLC it is thick and lovely (I thank Milorganite for providing that!). We had a bit of a delay from watering earlier in the morning, so we mowed a little longer than usual. Having never used the mower before and not knowing the height settings (the instructions provide information on height settings, but I failed to pay attention to them), I just eyeballed it and ended up setting the height a bit lower than I should have, so the lawn was quite close to the house. With this matter added to the slightly damp grass, one is certain to have a bogging down experience on my previous fuel-powered vehicle The Craftsman mower has a power source. This Snapper, however, is not one of them. Despite all of that, it did so very well and effortlessly. There is no doubt in my mind that, according to this battery, The power of a power mower is noticeably greater than that of a gas mower What is replacing it is a mower with a motor. Making the switch from gas was worrying to me because I was worried I would have to compromise on power An electric motor driven by a battery A power source. The improvement has not come at the expense of any compromises. It has been a while since I have been impressed with a performance such as the one I just mentioned, but there's When it began to rain, I had just finished the front lawn and had just moved to the back lawn. As the rain moved from an initial sprinkle to a downpour, it became very heavy. Having to mow the back yard by jogging, I decided to jog with the mower to accomplish that. Our grass is thick, our mowing height is below normal, the grass is damp and we're mowing at a jogging pace, yet it has not bogged It's madness. . . who would have thought it? As soon as I have mowed the lawn and am no longer soaked with rain, I remove the battery and store the mower in its upright storage position (I love this feature as it saves me space). It was my intention to charge the battery so that it is ready to use the next time. Upon looking at the battery meter (LEDs on the battery itself), I discovered that half of the battery's charge had been depleted. The battery was not charged, but I decided to mow again on the same battery to see if its capabilities can be tested without charging it. I have no doubt it will mow most, if not all, of the 2,800 square feet of grass again before needing a As it took me approximately 25 minutes to mow, I should be able to mow another 20 - 25 minutes on the remaining battery life. It took me about 45 minutes for me to mow for 25 minutes On a single battery, you can use it for 50 minutes. A question attached to another review asked about the company's claim to mow for 45 minutes I learned this from reading the attached question. There was some confusion as to whether the 45 minutes of run time per battery, or had to be shared by two As an attest to the power of a single battery, I can confirm that it provides 45 minutes of run time, which should equal 90 minutes when both batteries are used. I would like to add a few observations as well It feels solid to mow with this mower. The design and construction are of good quality. It doesn't operate on its own However, it weighs very little and is very easy to push, so I couldn't care less about that. Besides that, not being yourself is not a good thing I agree that there should be fewer parts that could potentially fail on the propelled part. Mulch, bag, or side discharge options are available on the mower. This process is very fast and simple, and you can switch between these options very quickly. In addition to its power-saving feature, the mower has a feature that, if not working hard, cuts down slightly to preserve and prolong battery life. When it detects that it needs to work harder, it quickly and automatically powers up so it can get through thick grass. I really like how quiet the mower is. I used it while my wife came out, and it was the first thing she noticed and commented on. I am no longer smelling like exhaust fumes when I am done cutting the grass. Now that is good news. It is my sincere hope that this review has been useful. The thing has only been used once, thus I don't think I'm naive to the fact that issues may arise. It is certainly my hope that they do not, but if they do, I will keep you updated. In any event, I will be writing a follow-up to this Hopefully I'll be able to update this review later this year and/or next year when I start using it again after the winter, and if there is anything new I think should be mentioned. For now, everything seems to be going well. It was so much fun using this mower that I am looking forward to using it again. How about me? Are you looking forward to I don't understand. . (update, after second use of the product)Just a quick update to answer the question I posed in the original review about whether or not it would last for a second mowing of my 2,800 square foot yard on a single My battery just finished mowing my yard a second time on the same battery (it was half discharged after the first mowing) and it did in fact complete the second full mowing. Once it was done, the battery charge indicator LEDs illuminated 1 of 4 lights. An illuminated LED indicating that there is between 25% and 40% capacity left on the battery based on the owner's manual. That's quite impressive, I must say. As for the second mowing, I did not time it as such, but I would estimate it to have taken around Additionally, I should add that the mower didn't work nearly as hard for this second mowing as it did for the first (first mowing was cut at a lower level with damp grass, and there was plenty of You can read the original review here. My lawn wasn't cut at 2 1/8 inches, so I raised the mower level to 'level 4', which according to the owner's manual, cuts at 2 5/8". (My first cut was at level 3). The mower did not transition to its higher power output mode during this mowing since this cutting did not require nearly the same amount of effort as the first. I'm sure this helped the battery power last longer, but it's still an inconvenience My battery charges in about two hours and I can mow about 5,600 square feet of lawn. There are way more features in this machine than I ever imagined, and don't forget, there are two batteries included with the mower. With my current usage, I am not convinced that I will ever need the second battery. I am aware that battery performance decreases over time hopefully the battery will continue to function for some time, or at least for a little while they are quite Thus, if I can mow my lawn twice and use less than 50% of one battery, I should have enough battery life for quite some time. br>
In addition, I would like to add that the mower performed flawlessly for this second cut. As compared to my previous gas lawn mower, this mower cuts my thick grass effortlessly, is easy on the back as well as easy to maneuver. The mower is a perfect fit for me in all aspects and I am very pleased with its If anything significant happens that should be added, I will add it. I said in my original review that I would add it if anything significant occurs. In other words, I plan to add a follow-up review either at the end of this mowing season (October/November) and/or once we begin our next mowing season, which should be between 9 months and a year away.
