Questions & Answers

This mower is frequently "bought together" with a COLEMAN OUTDOOR EXTENSION CABLE 10 AMP, according to Amazon. Is it correct that this is insufficient in terms of amps?

When using a 12-volt battery, a 14 gauge cord should suffice. mower with amplification If you need 100 feet, some experts suggest using a 12 gauge cord. The heavier gauge cord will give the mower a little more power (due to less voltage drop in the cord), but it will also be heavier and more expensive.

There is no warranty information that I can find. If one exists, how long does it last and what does it cover? Thanks. ?

4 years, according to the Amazon ad. My bottom motor bearing just blew out two months after the four-year warranty expired, so I'm out of luck. I will, however, most likely purchase the same mower. It had been working flawlessly until yesterday, when the motor abruptly seized. I finished the job with the help of my sister's 18" greenworks mower. They both function (functioned) admirably.

Is this a self-propelled lawnmower? are you propelled?

I'm not sure which mower you're referring to, but these questions and answers apply to it. Perhaps Amazon messed up and put the Q in the wrong place. A for a different product, as this one is battery-powered.

What is the length of the cord?

It does not come with a cord, as several people have stated, so you will need to purchase an outdoor extension cord that is long enough for your needs. I hope he meant a 10-gauge cord when he said he used a 100-foot 10-amp cord; I wouldn't recommend running a 13-amp motor on a 10-amp cord. I use a 100-foot 14-gauge cord, which is rated for 15 amps, 12 amps, and 30 amps, respectively. I discovered that the mower runs on 14 gauge wire without heating it at all. If the wire becomes hot, it is too small; go to a smaller gage number to carry more amps.

This is a fantastic lawnmower
5/5

Using a heavy duty, there is plenty of power. This is a fantastic lawnmower. A heavy-duty 12 gauge extension cord provides plenty of power, but you'll need to take it slow when passing through tall grass. After rain or watering, check to see if it is dry. It is extremely convenient. semi-retired 69-year-old semi-retired semi-retired semi-retired semi To operate, you must be a disabled female (5'5" tall and 168 lbs). Just make sure the extension cord doesn't get in the way of the mowing. to keep your feet from tangling Keep an eye out for this. Simply mow your lawn! without having to use a pull starter It can start without the help of a man. Simply press the button and raise the lever handle. You're free to go now. There is no need to be concerned. Your lawn can be mowed in a flash. it's lovely once more ) jlp.

People who have thick, wide-bladed grass, pay attention! Overall, I'm happy with this lawn mower, but it does have some limitations
4/5

br>br>The Advantages: br>br>The mower is simple to put together and relatively light in weight. I've only had it for about a month, but I'm impressed with its construction and have no reason to doubt that it's a high-quality product that will last me a long time; if I'm wrong, I'll update the review. br>br>It has everything I could want in terms of functionality: I have the option of mulching or bagging my clippings, as well as a variety of height settings. It even has a small clip to keep my extension cord in place so I don't have to unplug the mower while I'm mowing. When I mow, the mower is quiet, smooth to operate, and capable of easily mowing my fairly thick lawn. The Downsides: br>br> br>br>I am currently residing in the state of Florida. St Augustine grass is the type of grass I have on my lawn. It's a grass with wide blades and a high moisture content. This mower does a good job of cutting it, but only when I set the mower to bag the grass. br>br>When I use the mower in mulching mode (where the mower blows my clippings out the side and back onto my lawn), it can barely cut my lawn without clogging. It simply lacks the power to mowing my lawn and mulching the clippings. Also, keep in mind that I mow on a weekly basis. So I'm not talking about grass that has grown out of control. br>br>This restriction is insignificant to me. My backyard is quite small: It's only necessary for me to empty the bag once. However, if you're dead set on mulching while mowing and have wide-bladed grass, you'll need something more powerful. br>br>With that caveat in mind, I strongly advise you to purchase this mower.

It's a fantastic mower and a fantastic product, and I highly recommend it! This mower has been in my possession for just over a year
5/5

It's done a great job for both me and my lawn. br>br>A little background on why I went with an electric mower: Growing up, one of my weekly chores was to mow my parents' 1/3-acre lawn. My parents had a craftsman mower with powered wheels that ran on gasoline; the powered wheels were convenient because our backyard had a slight downward slope, but I despised having to refill (albeit infrequently) the gas can or getting gasoline on my hands while trying to fill the mower with gas. When I was trying to fill the mower, I would occasionally spill a little gas. It wasn't a deal breaker, but it was inconvenient. br>br>I recently purchased a new home, and because my lawn is much smaller (1/8 acre) and fairly level, I decided to try out this corded mower. In addition, my next-door neighbor, who lives on a similar-sized lot, uses an electric mower and claims to have never had a problem. br>br>The most difficult part of using a corded mower is figuring out how to maneuver/cut the lawn without constantly adjusting the power cord; once you figure that out, you'll love using it - It's powerful enough to mow the lawn and even handle a stray branch now and then. It's simple to move around and switch from bagging to mulching. I like how the top half of the handle is held in place by easy-to-grasp handles. When storing the mower, use the release brackets to fold the top half of the push bar. My parents' craftsman mower didn't have this feature, and it took up a lot more room in their shed. It's simple to adjust the blade height because there's only one lever to adjust. br>br>Here are a few pointers for those thinking about switching to electric mowers. 1. br>br> Purchase a nice extension cord that will A) contrast with the color of your lawn and B) extend from the power source to the farthest corner of your lawn. I started with a dark green "outdoor" extension cord that I had left over from the christmas ornaments. While I never tripped over the cord while mowing the lawn, it took more effort to find it. I switched to a 50-foot BRIGHT ORANGE power cord and haven't looked back. 2. br>br>1. br>br>br>br>br>br Determine the best mowing method based on the location of your lawn and the availability of power. MAKE A NOTE OF THAT PATTERN RIGHT NOW. It took a few mowing sessions for me to figure out how to mow without having to constantly reposition the power cord, but I've memorized the pattern now, and I just mow in the same manner every time. It doesn't bother me in the least that it's a corded mower. Starting at the point in the lawn closest to the outlet and ending at the farthest point from the lawn is the most common method. When I mow, I keep the cord between my two legs so that when I do a U turn at the edge of the lawn to do the next line of grass, the cord follows behind the mower easily. br>br>Overall, this is a fantastic mower at an excellent price; it has all of the power and features that one could require. It's a little quieter than a gas mower, so for those of you who don't like the sound of a gas mower, this is a good option. Your neighbors will thank you if you insist on mowing the lawn at 8 a. m. on Saturday while the rest of the world is sleeping.

After a month, I had to stop working! I had the same problem that a few other people had
3/5

It only worked for a few seconds before the motor began to smoke, and it hasn't worked since. I've been unable to contact the company regarding warranty issues. I do not recommend purchasing this product based on my personal experience. br>br>****** update: I contacted the service department, who informed me that I had not used the proper extension cord, which should have been 15 amps but was only 10 amps, and that they would send me a replacement. I'll place an order for a new cord and update this review when it arrives.
