Questions & Answers

Did I get a dud? I charged it for 2 straight days, but it wouldn't start. ?

As an electric 10 amp mower or as a cordless 40 volt mower, this mower is available in two variations. I urge you to review the entire sale page before making rude and unhelpful comments on it. I can answer your question by saying that you did receive a dud if you ordered the 40 volt cordless mower. You do not need to charge a battery if the electric 10 amp has been ordered.

Does this extension cord work?

There should only be a 5% voltage drop along an extension cord. Considering that this is a 10-foot long extension cord In order to get the best performance, cord durability, and most importantly, safety, you need We will use 2%,5 volt drop and 3 inch cord for 100 feet (3). The best results will be obtained at 150ft (4.7 volt drop). A 9%, 5 percentage point difference. The voltage dropped by 9 volts). Err on the side of a larger cord (a smaller gauge number is larger) when dealing with electricity, even if they are more expensive. $10-$30 is the typical range. It might only cost $20 but it can make the difference between something working/breaking or something catching on fire. Be careful if someone uses a 16 gauge cord under acceptable conditions, then adds an extension that causes

Is it effective to turn the mower instead of pulling it backwards, or do you prefer the former?

The answer is yes, according to me. Since my lawn is small, I do not turn to cut but go forward then back. With this mower, I never had a bad cut.

My home is in the middle of the country The mower will be stored outside in the shed in the Atlantic region of the country, so I wondered how long it would last there. When it rains, snows, or gets cold, how does it affect it? Is there an expected start date for ?

The shed I have in Western Washington is where I store my collection. We get plenty of rain and some snow and electric mowers are common here. In my opinion, it is not a good idea to store them outside. A cord, not a battery, is used to power this mower, so being exposed to the cold shouldn't

It seems to be popular among stubborn old guys! A few updates Mulching is also an excellent use of the mower
5/5

The process of changing from mulching to a basket is quite simple. There is no learning curve associated with using the mulching plug. The only time I write a review is when I buy something at Amazon. I frequently read customer reviews and rely on them, but I hardly ever write one myself. Over the course of my 60-year career, I have always believed the best mower to mow grass is a 5 HP gas mower. The time period. The times have changed, however. A corded electric mower was something I wanted to try to see how it would help with several issues. That is the first time I have ever used anything other than There are no words to describe how impressive this 16" mower was. A bunch of stuff, including my old mower, gas cans, air filters, and oil changing pans, went to the dump. There are no more trips to the past for me. As you can see, this mower is very well made. It has plenty of power to mow grass, and I do not know how well it will last with repeated mowings of heavy wet, tall Northwest spring grass. Based on my experience so far, I think the build quality is good and I expect it will last. You can easily adjust the mower height by using just one button. was not expecting the grass catcher to work at all, but it works better than any other I've ever have. A pump (or something) sits above the blade, and I think it has something to do with the bag's filling. It's possible that the smooth curves on the underside of the mower had something to do with it as well. As far as the grass catcher bag is concerned, it fills with wet, heavy long grass until it That was a total surprise. A hint for everyone Here's what you should do When I was cleaning the underside of the mower, I looked around the shed for something to do it. As I had used steel scrapers on my old mower, I didn't want to use them again. A round plastic tool, probably a gardening tool that my wife purchased, was in my hands. This works perfectly! Here's what I used This soil scoop (7068) is made of Fiskars fiber composite.

If you have never used a corded electric mower, here are some thoughts you might find useful. The following are just a few of the things I can do with this mower that I could not do with my old gas mower This mower is easy to start, much lighter, without vibration, much quieter, much easier to start, no gas, oil, air filter, no tuneups press the button, squeeze the bail (like a gas mower) to start. That's all there is to It's not necessary to bend over or pull anything. As long as your bail is not released, it will run continuously until it stops. You have to get used to using a cord. You must learn to prepare a new lawn care plan and learn how to maneuver the cord. Three mowing sessions were required for me to become comfortable with all aspects of mowing with this machine. It will probably take you less time to learn than it did for me. I would like to thank all of the reviewers of this product and many others. The reviews were hosted by Amazon as well.

Your lawn will be greener if you go green
4/5

Here is the deal When it comes to lawn mowers, electric one's are simply better than gas powered ones and that's the reason why so many people are purchasing them The mower has a power source. I mow a smallish yard in the back, and I have to do it every week. In the past, I have attempted to mow the exact same yard with an unpowered mower and spent more time going over the exact same area than I believed was justified. In some cases, those devices are designed to do something by hand that a traditional mower does much more efficiently now. Let's look at gas mowers now. HA! I have a small yard. Hence, for me, storing gas and oil for the lawn mower seemed like an unnecessary risk, even if it was a small one. It would also be necessary for me to travel to the store to get fuel every now and then. Now about the electric mower, of which there are You can either plug it in (which is what this is), or you can use batteries. considered both of these options, and even though I liked the idea of being completely battery powered, as well as not having any cables to worry about, I decided the additional cost and environmental impact would not justify it This is my first time using a 10 amp corded GreenWorks mower, and I am very satisfied with it. If you want to catch all the grass clippings, use the bag that comes with it. It can mulch the grass as well. Most of the time, I just mulch them. As it folds up fairly well, it is light enough to make it easy to carry it into my shed and store it underneath A level adjustment issue has been troubling me. Despite the fact that I have hauled it around for a year and a half, it is difficult to raise and lower following my first year since
Also, the only complaint I have is that at 10 AMP, the device seems underpowered and struggles to maintain grass that is taller. The only thing you had to do was move more slowly. In the event that I buy another, I will buy one with a stronger processor. Therefore, if you are looking for a mower for a smaller yard and you need one, this is the right mower for you. If you are able to get used to the vacuum sound it produces and learn how to use the electric mower, you won't be disappointed. In order to help me make sure I am providing useful content to you and others, I would appreciate your click on the "Yes" button if you found my review helpful.

I had a switch that crapped out after a year
3/5

It was almost exactly a year ago when I bought it. The system works well when it's working. Although the Greenworks is designed to break after a year, as was the case with Low*s corded mowers that preceded it. While the predecessors were stored outside when not in use, I kept this one inside. It is dry. It is clean. The switch interlock has failed today (you have to hold a button while pulling on the safety bar handle) and you cannot turn the switch on. The switch had to be completely bypassed when I was finishing the tiny yard I had. The risk is too great. I find this to be very A design issue is all that is involved. In relation to the switch itself (plastic housing and plastic mechanical throw rod), the device improperly aligned or became excessively stiff, which led to failure of the interlock function. I am very dissatisfied with the way things are going.
