Questions & Answers

How would this model react when it is pulled backwards?

Only when it is pushed from behind will it cut. Flipping the handle over, you can get more leverage from the front because you won't be engaging the reel, making it easier to maneuver.

There was an email that I lost While mounting the handle bars to the mower, make sure the ring is securely fastened. Even without them, the handle bars seem tight. How much time do I need to spend on the email What are they?

It's very unlikely that you'll have a problem as the tension from the springs of the bars should hold it securely. You should be able to find a new one at the local hardware store if you don't mind a complete

For two inch cuts, how do I set my machine? A minor should be between 1/2 and 2 1/2 while a precise should be between 1/2, 1 3/4, and 2 ?

Dear Derrick, I appreciate the question you have asked. With the roller set to the desired cutting height, the reel can be adjusted to your desired cutting height of 2 inches. There should be no need to move the reel to a different location in relation to the wheels when this can be accomplished by moving the wheels. Video explanations of adjustments can be found online in several videos. Thank you for your question. We hope this helps. A lawn mower company owned by Earthwise/American

This product is of excellent quality
5/5

I am a 72 year old with a 2,000 square foot house. This is feet. The lawn I'm transitioning to is bermuda grass in my back yard (not yet a lawn). In the past, the previous owner had installed Bermuda lawn, but it had not been maintained and as a result the yard had weeds and a few sprigs of Bermuda here and there when we moved in last year. The goal I have is to have a carpet that is comfortable to walk on My goal is to maintain Bermuda at about one inch in height and to mow at least twice a week so that I can provide it with the best environment possible. I chose the Earthwise seven blade mower after doing a lot of research and reading that the seven blade mower provides the sharpest cut and is the best for Bermuda. I probably would have chosen the Fiskars Stay Sharp if I had been intending to cut a larger area of taller grass, but I thought the Earthwise cutter was more appropriate for my needs and it cost about $115 as opposed to $200 for the Fiskars cutter. It was my first use of it yesterday and I was quite pleased with it. It is as easy to operate this mower as any other non-motorized model Power mower that runs on its own. It has a solid handle that does not This lawn mower has plenty of room for the handle grips, so the mower is easy to move Despite the fact that I have never used foam grips before, they seem as sturdy as any I have used before. This is the first mower that doesn't require edging with a weed eater, and it's the same with the past ones. Despite the fact that I mowed my yard twice yesterday, at first at the factory setting and then at a lower setting, I did not experience any lockups. Not offensive and exactly what I expected - a metallic clicking sound of blades touching the cutting bar and a 'whishing' sound of blades spinning. It is not simple to adjust cutting height like on some mowers that only require moving a lever, because each pair of rollers must have its bolts removed and re-installed before the mower will adjust the cutting height. Increasing the tension. There is no need for tools as the nuts that need to be loosened are large plastic wing nuts that I was able to easily manipulate even though I suffer from The downside to this is if I do not change my settings often I will likely leave it at the same setting most of the time. Sorry for the long review, but I wanted to make sure you understood what I am using it for and why I use it. Further, I bought a sharpening kit with the mower, but after reading the manual I learned it will not be necessary to sharpen the blades for several years with normal use and maintenance. It might not be a problem for me to sharpen at my age.

The mower cuts grass without locking up, and has an easy to use handle
3/5

The reason I bought this is that it has 7 blades and I returned the 5 blade version I purchased from Lowe's. In the end, I returned it for a 5 blade version with a wider cut. Here are my reasons for doing so. There is a 7 blade version of this mower with rollers instead of wheels, and from my experience, this causes the mower to lock up more when cutting the I think it would have been better if they put wheels on instead then it would be easier to push without locking It is easier to push the 5-blade version than the 4-blade version due to the handle design. When I was mowing it seemed like the handle was bending when I had to use more force to push through the dense 1.
2.
3. The fact that you have to unscrew the wedges on both sides in order to adjust the mower is one of my biggest complaints. In comparison to a conventional paper cutter, the 5 blade version adjusts easily with the handles and requires only a matter of seconds. *4, *3. There is no doubt that it's loud. While I expected this lawnmower to be significantly quieter than my Ego battery-powered lawn mower, it is only a little bit louder. There is an annoying high pitched noise made by the blades when they are cutting. There is a benefit to this mower in that you can get a better cut than you could get with a five blader and you don't have to mow your lawn over the same area as frequently. In my opinion, they should have put the 7 blade on the 5 version frame and gave it a 5 star rating. I love how much easier it is with it.

From 1715 to The 16EW 16" and 7-inch The blade of the sword I wanted to review the Earthwise 1715-Max just because it was so much better than my Fiskars 18" reel max and was less than half the price
5/5

7EW 16EW Because of its ease of use, the blade push reel mower is a good choice. As I watched the Fiskars 18 inch stay sharp max reel mower mow my lawn this year, I found a few Mowing on a hill that is gentle or steep might be difficult due to the way the front wheels are in front of the cutting bed and the back wheels is so far behind it When the mower is running, the mower bed drags on the ground. trouble getting every little piece of debris from the yard to catch in the mower's reel and stop it from working. I received a sharpening kit without a crank handle for the first time when I ordered the kit. It took a couple of weeks to get the full kit after going through all the return processes. Then I went to remove the small gear on the reel shaft and tried to break loose the set screw with my allen wrench by torqueing it 90 degrees before the bolt hole finally broke. I am not sure where they are located Screws that are too tight or that were installed with an impact wrench at too high a torque setting should be replaced. As a result, I had to drill/tap the opposite end of the shaft for a 10mm bolt so that I could attach a nut driver to backlap and sharpen the "non-sharp" blades They are also known as "contact" Overall, the Fiskars is not a bad machine, though it has some serious drawbacks for such a high price. Here is the seventh episode of Earthwise My deck mower is better than the Fiskars at a fraction of the cost (I paid $87 for mine On sale at a discounted price Oh my gosh, I really like you). Thanks a bunch. ") and I was out Mowing with it today is very easy, thanks to the fast turning of the reel for the same walking pace as the Fiskars reel, as well as the 7 blades. Fiskars must pass over the same lane twice, but I can do it once with the new drivers. Furthermore, the rollers on the back of the Earthwise ensure that the mower stays level when cutting uneven areas and also makes it far superior when mowing overhanging landscape edges. Honestly, I have no problems with the cutting bed contacting the ground at any location in my yard because the cutting bed is centered under the wheels instead of having it touching the ground as it was I am not sure if this mower will last for a long time - only time will tell Reliable in the short term, but the reel and the bed both feel and look well-made I did not have problems with the 10" wheels slipping (which I was initially concerned about). The handles are solid and the wheels are made well. The ends of the world or something along those lines). I push mow my lawn about 30 minutes per day because I live in a residential area. The level of exertion is not high - it is just walking a little to get in the workout. Having read some of the reviews, I was wary about this purchase, but I am very happy to own this mower and to realize that it works better than the more expensive model I previously owned. Could I sell my old Fiskars to anyone? I love it.
