Make sure the blades are whirling. Based on the sound of the blades after spraying, I chose to spray. Afterward, I spray the wheel joint and brush off any stray grass after use. For rust prevention, I spray when dry and once dry, I store, just to keep the rust off, and also to prevent grass from wrapping around the wheel joint and holding onto it. Putting it together was easy, and it was a joy I am glad I took the time to look into this.
By hand, the rollers of the mower can be easily adjusted and the mower can be lowered without using any tools. Adjust the wheel height to further lower the vehicle (standard on the highest setting), but remember to use your best judgement! Due to lack of ground clearance, I were unable to do this. Although the lawn does not seem so even as it appears with the naked eye, the wheels rubbing the ground caused the blades to stop pushing forward. Some small lawns are very flat, while others may have tiny dips and bumps. The machine will not cut on uneven ground.
