Questions & Answers

It is no secret that I am not good at following directions. Will I be able to use this tiller effectively if I purchase it?

It appears that some of the instructions in the manual are incorrect. There is nothing similar about the way a diagram shows you how to do something and the manual tells you to do it. It confused me, so I called the number in the manual, who confirmed that what I had done was incorrect, and told me how to correct it. I found it very easy to put together, and the people who helped me were patient and clear about how it was done. All of this was done in less than a minute. In my experience, I have used this tiller a lot, and it is a durable and reliable product. Generally speaking, it is a good tool.

What happens if the soil is rocky?

The answer is yes Rocky soil is a good fit for this plant. There were many small rocks, broken pottery pieces, and pieces of brick in the garden bed I bought it for. I ran into a lot of roots from dead shrubs, dust and trash. I found that the tiller would freeze up whenever I hit anything that was too much for it. You can just let go of the bar, clear the tines if they need to be cleared, and keep In fact, I was able to pull the roots out of my flower bed by using it, after I cleared the roots of the dead shrubs!

The only difference between our 27072 model and our 27012 model is the size of the 27072. Do you just have a newer version of something?

This exact question was answered by GreenWorks directly. I own the previous model 27012 and while this dug up my lawn for fescue reseeding in 2012, it didn't work well and had kickbacks at times, making it generally more difficult In addition, the new model 27072 is significantly improved, it has a straight V bar, which helps with stability, the back wheel placement is improved, the RPM's have increased, despite being an 8 amp motor, and the weight has been reduced from 30 to 26 pounds now. Tilling had been more cultivating for the previous model than cultivating, and they came in 6 sizes There is a new model added each week until spike 10

How can I tell if the wheels go up or ?

It is possible to adjust the wheels. Using this method, a depth of tilling of up to 5" can be achieved to maintain even cultivation.

The product works great, the assembly is a breeze
5/5

With this tiller, I am preparing part of our front yard for the sod to be laid. I found it fairly easy to use once I got everything together. The effect of using the product can pull you forward, but it's not difficult to train yourself to get over it. I will update this post when I figure out what those two clips are for.

My gas tiller/cultivator works as well as this one
5/5

Astonished by how well this unit works, I've been using it quite a bit. My name is Margaret and I am an old slow woman of 60+ years old who still enjoys planting My previous tillers were gas-powered, and they still function, but I have difficulty starting them by hand now. Because I am not as strong as I used to be, I thought about trying an electric version. I really like it. Its weight makes it more stable than my smaller gas tiller, which does not buck not with the motor and the chassis. while walking along layers of harder ground, I was able to not lose control despite accidentally clipping the concrete wall surrounding my garden. Keeping in mind how well this works, I decided to dig a new flower bed in the same area. No work has been done on the Despite some compacted soil on top of the machine, it has successfully dug through it.

You get a lot of product for your money, but never use the ring pins
4/5

My previous purchase was the Greenworks Corded mower and weed trimmer, so simply based on its brand alone, I was readily convinced to buy the tiller. Despite its shortcomings, the tiller lives up to the hype. There is a reasonable degree of quietness and the device is lightweight. Powerful enough to till up the rocky soil between a gravel driveway and a mature oak tree in no time at all. By myself, I was able to till and rake out a section of my yard that measured 30 feet long by 2 feet wide in under two hours. While the tiller needs to be assembled, it is not difficult to do so in just One of the most difficult parts of assembling the tines was positioning them so that the ring pin could be inserted successfully. In terms of the ring pins, they were lost very quickly during the tilling process as well. There was once a pin that slipped out and can be easily found. Both tines were lost the second time, despite the tiller coming with two different tine securing devices, the chrome colored securing pins did a much better job than the clear plastic ones even though they are supposed to be used As a result, I would recommend purchasing this product. The machine is affordable and allows you to get your yard work done without spending a lot of money.

This is a nice tool, but there are caveats
4/5

Despite wanting to use this tiller for months, today was the first day I operated it. When you use my Greenworks mower, you press the button and pull the wire handle and off you go. But a potential buyer should be aware of a few things, and whether they are happy or aggravated with their purchase will determine whether they are satisfied. To begin with, invite Sherlock Holmes to come help with the assembly of the tines. The tines can only be added on two sides. For wider rows, this can be increased to 4 tines. Using clips for one configuration, and O pins for the other, you have two different configuration options. Weird. When you put the clips on, you will be afraid that those tines are going to fly out of their sockets when they come in contact with dirt. I did not need them for my light work, but they worked fine for me. There is a supplementary instruction sheet in the packet, which must have been a response to complaints about the instructions regarding the tines. There are some pictures in the instructions that seem to contradict other pictures. Please refer to the instructions on the box so you can figure out how to do all of that.
As far as my work goes, I have used the tiller today to shave down numerous 2-foot-long pieces We have sown wildflowers 3 inches apart in the meadow near my home to bring in the spring. So I purchased the tiller for this very reason, and it was perfect for the task. I sow about a pound of bluebonnets in about an hour. It is much better for the seed to have soil contact every 20 or 30 inches by making a light till. I broke up the soil last year with a garden weasel and did not get as good of a spread when I did that. We got a little tired of manually pushing it over the loose ground and grass. Therefore, I would recommend it for those who want to do some light work, or building a small Otherwise, you might be better off renting a more powerful machine. I can see myself using this often for wildflower plantings, as well as for my raised garden bed with loose The elderly or small person will find this tool very useful.

In my opinion, it is a great price and a good quality
5/5

The update is Now that it has been two years, I am ready for a new challenge. My mother uses this about five times a year and it's still in great shape. Since I did not have wheels on this beast, I had to use upper body strength to command it, but it did exactly what I needed it to do! The perfect weight for digging in the virgin flower bed at my new house. He thought it would be a great idea to leave hundreds of 1- pound bottles of water on the premises A cultivator easily pulls the taco Bell hot sauce wrappers and 2" rocks from the dirt. I'm glad I chose the 8A over the smaller Greenworks tiller since this is my first time using one. I've had it in my garden for quite awhile and it hasn't slowed down despite the clay soil. The price and quality of this product are excellent. The second electric garden tool I own is from the Greenworks brand. A lawn mower from this company was just purchased by me. I hope that it will be as good as I expect it to be. It is my only complaint to say that the instructions lacked a little attention. It looks like I have two extra pins and I have no idea what to do with them. The tool has been working fine for at least a couple of hours, so I am assuming they are extras?.

This is an amazing price
5/5

I am satisfied with the quality of the product. I HIGHLY recommend this book! A tiller would be helpful for me to create several flowerbeds around my house and for me to design a picket fence around my property, even though I have little space. The price of this tiller was right for me, and the reviews were positive. Upon receiving it, I was eager to put it together for use, so I did so right away. It was a straightforward set of directions. Easy to follow and straight to the point. I had to wait about 30 minutes for it to complete. This product is so easy to use, and it works like a charm. In a very short amount of time, I was able to create a great deal of flowerbeds with the help of this product. I don't think I could have made these flowerbeds By using this tiller, I was able to remove grass from certain areas as well as till the soil for There were no performance issues after using the tiller for hours at a time. I was able to move freely without the cord getting My recommendation is that you buy this product as it is not only a great deal, but it is also of excellent quality!.
