Questions & Answers

How well will this cut through short grass? Will I need to do any more prep work?

*br>Nice to hear from you, Jessica. Thank you very much. Short grass can be tilled with the Earthwise TC70065. It is possible to control the depth by moving the tiller instead of letting it remain at one location. A Lawn Mower Company owned by Earthwise/American

Can you control speed with a variable speed?

Thank you so much for your question, Susan. Single speed is the only speed available with the Earthwise tiller. A Lawn Mower Company owned by Earthwise/American

How old is your blade? Are you able to remove the outer set of tines in order to provide a tighter ?

Dear Gary, thank you very much TC70065 does not allow you to remove the tines on the outer surface to narrow the working area. A lawn mower company owned by Earthwise/American Lawn Mower

It is a pleasure to meet you. I am an 84 year old woman in good health. Would like to know if it is possible to control the soil in this area because it is soft. ?

There is a chance that it will get away from you because it is quite powerful. Earthwise has one at Home Depot that is 7 inches tall. The height of a five inch shoe. The following 2 are also possible. It may be better to purchase a 5 amp that suits your needs. The cost of it was only Almost 75 years old, I live alone in a small apartment. In cases where the ground has already been break tilled and needs only cultivation, and you have just a little to do, this approach would likely be

There's a lot of bang for your buck here
4/5

The weight of this unit is so light that I (a 5'0 woman) can easily lift it and hang it from our ceiling hooks in the garage without any trouble. Due to the ease of use, it did cause some problems at first when it was first included in our heavy clay After passing through one layer, it would bounce around for a while. Ground reacted well to four passes (recommended is two passes according to the instructions). I never had any problems with it getting caught on roots to the point where it stopped working or wasn't as effective, but string and roots did get heavily entangled Even so, the low cost is worth it to me!.

It is both lightweight and inexpensive
5/5

Raised bed gardens are all that we use this for. This is an ideal tool for the task of digging a 4 x 8 raised bed garden, of which we have 13 of them. Do not go out and buy anything big or expensive that you do not need. This worked flawlessly for the whole season and I loved that it was so portable and powered by a very small generator. I can take it and use it in the back yard at any point during the day.

Does what it's supposed to do
4/5

Tears the earth a part and rips it up as it should. It is a heavy piece of machinery that is easy to setup, though it is easy to use. Despite my best efforts, I can't maneuver the device effectively. It wants to go one way but not the way I want it to. If you only have to till a small area, it is easier, but if you are forced to till a narrow stripe, it becomes tough I hope that works for you! Nonetheless, tilling by hand is still a better option than doing it by machine.

Despite being small, little machine does not know it is small
5/5

Because of how small and light it is, I did not expect much. Gardeners less than a thousand square feet couldn't have needed anything more than this little machine, yet it plowed through virgin ground like it didn't know it was a.

This is a great It was purchased for using in my elevated garden where I turn the dirt
4/5

I was able to cut grass with this little unit. Despite its fairly simple design, it is very easy to use as there is a safety button that you need to push before you can release it. Since it is designed this way, you really need to use two There might be a need to start and stop the unit and turning this on and off is not the easiest thing. If the unit could be started and shut off with just one hand, that would be perfect. Furthermore, I wish that the handle was mounted on a pivot so that it could be adjusted to the angle you wish. By allowing the handle to drop closer to the ground (perhaps 6 inches or so), the unit would be much easier to pull along. In this position, the actual unit would be in a more upright position, and it would be able My only solution for getting the unit into the correct position was to force it upright. If the handle angle is lowered, the unit will be able to perform better. Although this one was more than powerful enough for the job, I found it to be a little slow at times. I would have personally preferred a unit one level higher than this one. It would have also been nice if the cut had been a little wider. The unit as a whole is great and I am very happy with it.

A remarkable combination of toughness and power
5/5

In order to make our backyard look more attractive, we decided to turn part of it into a lawn. Since it's not a very large area, I ordered this tiller to break up the very hard, dry ground that is compacted. It helped to water the yard a couple of times, but I still felt like I had a dose of salts as it went through it. The software turned out to be a lot more capable than I had Large stones were buried (third Most inch-sized bricks) some brick-sized Several sections of old broken clay pipes were embedded in the thick roots. In the worst case scenario, the tiller would bounce off the biggest stones but otherwise it handled everything fine. Then a low-income person might think this is what low-income means to them The tiller at the top of the blade I insist that the end ones be freeway earthmovers!.

This small package packs a lot of power
4/5

As a whole, I wasn't expecting much since my last electric tiller was a mini SunJoe and it was the worst investment of my life (basically, it would get stuck on weed roots). Basically, I wanted something more powerful and was thinking about going with a gas engine, but the maintenance was too much for something that would be used to till just a small area each This seemed like a good chance to me, so I took it up. I was able to assemble the unit easily, and it looks as if it is made of high-quality Once I put it together, I took it to the garden and started tilling gravel and rocks the motor was able to keep up with the equipment and did not seem to bog down very The gear housing had a point where it became lodged between one of the tines and the rock- After getting it wedged in place, I had to use a hammer and chisel to break it apart- there is no give on the tines going backwards for some reason once something is wedged in, it remains there forever. It would be nice if there was a slight give going backwards, so that it would be easier to get things out that got tangled up, but that is the only downside. For smaller areas, this will work well with minimal effort. However, if you have a lot to cover, it would be wise to get a higher amperage model.

A powerful force
5/5

This tiller was originally purchased by us amps). The company upgraded it to a 13 amp model. A few months ago, when I first saw the email, I thought it was a scam. During the upgrade, the company offered us a 5 amp model at no extra cost. Despite the fact that it wasn't. Upgrades have been extremely well received, and we are very pleased. This machine made quick work of tilling four plots of land, in an exceptionally short period of time. Using the old-fashioned way would have been very time-consuming. If I had tried to till manually, I would have been working for hours. It was a great purchase and we are very pleased with the company.
