Questions & Answers

Is it 16 " x 1" or 16' x 1?" ?

1" blade on a 16-foot tape. On a nice tape, this is a great deal.

According to the description, this item is a size 6. 8 x 4. The dimensions are 5 x 2 inches. It appears to be quite big. Is there anyone who can confirm this?

1/8" long x 3" wide 2" wide x 1/4" tall

What is the diameter of the komelon 16-foot circle? I'd like to apply my logo to a sticker. ?

It's 2" in diameter, but the circle is recessed. I inserted a 1 7/8" metal disc, which fit perfectly and looked fantastic.

Intricately designed to raise the bar and set a new standard for durability?? Not in the least! Before I started a few home improvement projects earlier this year, I bought this tape measure
3/5

I was on my step ladder in the garage recently, hanging a pegboard backer for my garden tools, when the tape on my pocket clip slipped off. From a height of about 3-feet, it plummeted to the ground. 4 ft. When I went to use it again, I discovered that the end hook had been bent backwards. Now, the product description was a factor in my decision to purchase this tape measure. "Protected End Hook:" says the author. br>The case was designed to protect the end hook from impact, so there's no need to be concerned about dropping this tape measure. "Why should I be concerned about dropping it from a short distance off a ladder?" Because "These are valid reasons to refuse a replacement," according to the company's warranty replacement policy. Last but not least, the end hook has been bent as a result of being dropped, stepped on, or accidentally struck by another tool. " I suppose if you buy this tape measure, be careful not to drop it because the end hook may bend and become useless. " It was a complete waste of money.

There are two major issues to consider
3/5

The length of the case is not indicated. When measuring inside corners, this is a standard method. Because the case's back is rounded, this is a problem with this tape measure. Yes, there is a 3" square base at the bottom of the back, but the round case back protrudes beyond the squared-off base. This tape measure is now useless for internal measurements because it is off base. 2. br>br>1. br>br>br>br>br>br The tape coming out of the case does not have a perpendicular angle to the case's base. I like to lay a tape measure over a board to mark it in regular increments on a regular basis. With this tape measure, you won't be able to do so. To give you an idea of the angle, if you pull the tape measure out 12 inches and let the case sit naturally, the tape measure's tip (1 foot from the case) will be 1 1/8 inch off the work surface.

This is the best tape measure I've ever had
5/5

For all of my reviews, I use the same format: When I write product reviews, I always try to be objective and honest about the product or service, and I always include information about the product that I think others would be interested in knowing, because I always assume that what I write will influence whether or not someone buys it. I always try to think about quality, value, and application in addition to surface characteristics. Most importantly, I will always conclude my reviews by stating whether or not I would buy the product again, which I believe is the most important question to ask about it. Manufacturers, please note: Simply let me know if you'd like me to review your products. br>br>I'm a big fan of the Komelon Gripper Speed- Make a mark on the tape measure. My old, thin, and cheap one, which I had been using upstairs, had finally worn me down to the point where I needed a new one. I also have a Craftsman that I use, but it's in the shop. If you're using a cheap tape measure, you're probably familiar with the dance of trying to keep the tape extended while bending due to the tape's thin gauge of metal. That is not the case with this Komelon. It has a lot of sturdiness to it. In fact, I can extend the tape measure unsupported for almost 8' before it 'breaks. ' ' It's pretty amazing. br>br>In addition, the gray tape is easy to read, and I like that the measurements are listed in 1/8 increments with unlisted 1/16 marks. The locking mechanism is sturdy and secure, while the roller mechanism is smooth. When you're young and don't realize the importance of quality, it's easy to scrimp on a tape measure. You'll never go back once you've upgraded. This is the case with this Komelon, and I'll be able to easily replace it if I run out. I've even considered getting rid of my dependable Craftsman.

A tape measurer that does not attempt to murder me
5/5

This tape measurer is a minor but significant upgrade over the two major brands I've owned for more than 20 years. Sure, it has big numbers on it in case you go blind, but the real kicker for me is how much more controlled and slower the retraction speed is. It's not your typical tape measurer, where you unroll the tape and watch it snake across the room at breakneck speed before attempting to bite your hand or face. It instead takes twice as long to retract and does not whiplash in any direction. br>br>I believe this is due to the fact that the tape itself appears to be made of a much heavier and sturdier material, making it heavier and less bendable. As a result, it takes longer to gain speed and loses speed/momentum when it recoils as a result of gravity or air pressure (rather than bending and storing that momentum as it whiplashes like a spaghetti noodle being sucked up, which becomes more dangerous as the length of tape increases). It's amazing how such a small change can make such a big difference. br>br>Another feature I like is that the outside is mostly rubber, with the exception of the clip, so you can put it down on more delicate surfaces like stained wood without worry. It can also withstand a short drop without cracking the tile, which is yet another minor adjustment that makes a big difference.

12/06/16br>Quick shippingbr>Needed a tape that I could read better because my eyesight is deteriorating
4/5

I work as a visual for a large retail department store and needed a new one that was at least 12 feet long. br>On the plus side, it's very nice. Excellent craftsmanship. Smooth retractor returns to its original position, making it simple to read. br>br>Contrary to popular belief, there are a number of disadvantages to using this product. It has a lot of weight! br>At work, I have a 12 foot measuring tape that is incredibly light; this one is four times as heavy and much larger. It's too big for a "girl," and my hands are too small. br>I won't be able to use it at work, so I'll give it to my husband to use at home.

The text is simple to follow
5/5

This is a very useful program. br>It's as transparent as a tape gets. It's easy on the eyes with the flat white. For the most part, the chores I do do not require millimeters. br>I read a complaint about the case's size not being standard, but it is identical to my 30 year old Stanley 20 ft Powerlock, which it will replace. br>It can stand on its own for up to 90 inches, with 7 feet being a good starting point. br>It has a substantial feel to it. I'm not sure how much I'll use it, but it feels like a genuine tool. I like how it protects me and gives me a good grip.
