Questions & Answers
Yes, we have a Gemeinhardt metal piccolo, and the bag is suitable for it.
The top side of the instrument is padded for well over an inch, not including the external compartment. br>About 1/2 inch of harder compressed padding on the bottom of the case where the underside of the piccolo meets the case. The length of time that padding will protect the instrument from drastic temperature changes is determined by the amount of time it will be exposed to that temperature. br>I live in Minnesota and had no trouble using this to protect my wooden piccolo on the 100 steps from my car to the University door at - The temperature is ten degrees. If you're going to be outside for an extended period of time, I recommend tucking the instrument under your coat and close to your body. Regardless of case insulation, the instrument will eventually be exposed to outside temperatures. It's just a matter of how long you're exposed.br>Use caution and stay safe! br>It's worth mentioning that I adore this case. To accommodate a wider than average headjoint, firm but soft molding is used on the inside.
It's a piccolo case in this instance. It will not fit into a standard flute body or head joint.
It certainly ought to. My daughter has a standard piccolo (not a bubble head), and the neck insert area has some room. In fact, her instrument moves around a lot more than it needs to. Furthermore, the foam is firm but soft enough that adding a few millimeters or so would not be an issue.

61,62,81,82 (as well as possibly more Yamahas of the same size). In general, a strong argument. I like the front pouch because it has enough room for my swabs and cloths. It's also not overly big. It is small, as is fitting for a Piccolo.
This is the best replacement case for protecting your instrument.
This case has a large outside pocket and an extra slot for joint grease in the piccolo section! This is a fantastic case, and I would strongly recommend it to anyone in the market for a new one!.
What I was looking for. My silver piccolo was an excellent fit.
This case was purchased for my antique Bettoney piccolo, which I continue to use. I needed a replacement case because the old one was falling apart. It's plush and well-padded, and the zipper is far more convenient to use than the original's button closure. This case is well worth the money if you want to protect your expensive instrument.
This was purchased to replace the case that came with my digital camera. It's over 20 years old, and the case had only one clasp and was not well insulated. My piccolo didn't fit because the g key was too close to the head joint. I yanked up the velvet and cut a piece of foam away, and it now fits!.
This case is great because it has pockets for other things.
This case turned out to be even better than it appeared on the surface. For the Gemeinhardt 4S, this is ideal. The zipper enclosure provides greater protection and is lighter than molded cases.
