Questions & Answers

How big is the space inside?

Dimensions of the Messenger Compartment on the Inside: 13" x 18" x 3" Dimensions: 13" x 18" x 3"

A c foot flute is one of my possessions. Is there a way to keep your foot from slipping? thanks. ?

The Protec case's lining is spongy, hello. It keeps the C foot in place without requiring any movement.

Is it possible to use a piccolo bulb-style head joint?

Yes, a bulb-style headjoint will work perfectly.

Is there enough room in this bag for two flutes and one piccolo? In the blue section, one flute and piccolo, and one inside the bag?

It's possible, but it wouldn't be the most secure, and wearing it as a backpack would be uncomfortable; however, it would fit.

THIS CASE SUITS ME EXTREMELY WELL
5/5

This is the second time I've made a case for a protec flute in this design. My first one lasted nearly four years, and as a concert flautist in a variety of concert bands and ensembles, my most recent protec case took a beating. I had to replace it at some point, and I'm glad it was still available. The style differs slightly from my previous case in that instead of a full Velcro closure, there are two smaller Velcro pieces, which I prefer. The Velcro on the closure is strong and secure. The sheet music pocket, on the other hand, is a distinguishing feature. Within the sheet music pocket, there are a few zippered pockets, as well as places for pencils, clothes pins (as most of you know, clothes pins are a cheap staple for keeping sheet music secure when performing outside venues), and other small items. In this case, I can transport both my flute and two piccolos. You might wonder why there are two piccolos. I have one for indoor venues and one for outdoor venues: one is mostly metal and the other is mostly wood. There's even room for a tuner, which is extremely useful. After seeing the case in person, several of my flute buddies have started using it. br>br>The only complaint I have about this case is its weight. It does become heavier as more items are added, duhhhhhhh. As a member of several concert bands and ensembles, I am required to carry a variety of music folders, which adds to the weight of this case. It is possible that it will become overwhelming. A word of caution, though. This is, in my opinion, a minor issue that I am confident in my ability to resolve. I don't have to juggle several different hard flute/piccolo cases, as well as my music folders; instead, I just put everything in this case and don't have to worry about "getting everything. " br>br>As previously stated, my first protec case lasted nearly four years. Some may consider that a short period of time, but when you have rehearsals every day of the week, as well as weekend gigs, nearly four years is a long time in the life of an instrument case. This case has been dropped, rained on, and stepped on, and it has protected my very expensive instruments, tuners, and everything else I need to carry. Given how rough I am on instrument cases, the cost of this case is a bargain. I honestly wish there was more room in this case for a second (or spare) flute, as I always have one with me on any stage I perform on. Instruments, even while performing, can break or be damaged. I was always taught that having a spare on hand is preferable to having an instrument break down on stage). br>br>I can honestly say that if this new case wears out as quickly as my previous one, I will repurchase if it is still available. I wish there were more color combinations to choose from- Several of these cases sitting next to each other can be confusing if you don't have a name badge or don't use the included detachable name badge. This minor inconvenience could be avoided if more color options other than black were available, or if the detachable name badge could be used instead. br>br>To my fellow flautists, I enthusiastically recommend this case. It's extremely convenient, keeps everything safe and secure, and literally "takes a licking and keeps on ticking," as the saying goes. I'll be posting pictures as soon as I can.

This is a fantastic case! I've had this case for a few months and I'm very happy with it! It's a perfect fit for my flute and piccolo, and I'm not worried about it bending the keys
5/5

I have a Gemeinhardt 4W (grenadilla) piccolo, and the straight head joint is a little loose fitting in the case, but the light pressure of the foam keeps it snug enough that it does not move. In addition, my flute has an extended B foot as well as some extra trill keys, and everything is in good working order. In the main compartment, I can also fit a tuner and cleaning rods. br>It's also worth mentioning that According to one review, an orchestra folder would not fit. Mine is one of them. I can store my folder with full-size pages in the case's zippered section on the back side. with plenty of room for music, a collapsible flute stand, pencils, and cloths. I was hesitant to bite the bullet because it seemed like a lot of money for a case, but it appears to be very professional and was well worth it. I can fit everything I need in it and wear it like a backpack, freeing up my hands to do other things, which is fantastic.

The case is fantastic! For my flute and piccolo, this case is extremely durable
5/5

In the back pocket, it has to be big enough to hold all of my books and folders. There's also storage for pencils and zippers to hold smaller items in the same location. Cleaning rods and a place for my tuner are also available inside the case. With plenty of padding, all of the straps and handle are extremely comfortable. When not in use, the back straps can be easily tucked away into their own compartment. Overall, I believe the case will be extremely durable for many years to come and that the money spent was well spent.

Both a Yamaha flute and a Yamaha piccolo fit perfectly, with plenty of room for both cleaning rods and
5/5

This was ordered for my daughter, who has a Yamaha flute and piccolo, and it fits them both perfectly, with plenty of room for cleaning rods and cloths. There's enough space for her three music books and folder, as well as her tuner, stationery, and instrument stands. It's a great product to be able to carry everything comfortably in one bag and have multiple options for carrying it as a back pack, shoulder strap, or case. Her orchestra is envious of her, and other members are now placing orders for the product.

exactly what I was looking for My granddaughter needed a case to transport her piccolo and flute
5/5

This one appealed to her. I'm blown away by the quality of this case. I didn't expect it to be this nice for the price, and if you're looking for a duo case, I highly recommend it. Everything has been meticulously constructed.

This is a case that can be used in a variety of situations
5/5

I recently began playing both the flute and the piccolo, and I was tired of lugging around two cases, so I bought this case, which is very functional. When I need to use the backpack straps, they're great, and all of the pockets make it simple to store my belongings. My flute teacher gives me several books to practice with, and this case provided me with a convenient way to keep track of them all. The only criticism I have of this case is that the piccolo headjoint is assumed to be a metal piccolo headjoint, which makes fitting my Gemeinhardt 4P headjoint difficult. Overall, a fantastic case, and I intend to purchase the clarinet version for my brother.

Good buy
5/5

This was a Christmas present for my boyfriend. He adores it, and other members of his two ensembles have complimented him on it. He's carrying one of his flutes and a piccolo, as well as all of his sheet music and a stand; the straps allow him to wear it as a backpack or a regular work bag.
