Questions & Answers
The interior (padded and formed) section does not appear to be able to be removed without tearing or cutting it out. It's safely tucked away in the corner. If you really want to put in the effort, I'm sure you could make some changes. It would, however, necessitate a significant amount of effort.
It's a soft case, but it's sufficiently cushioned to withstand the abuse of my sixth and seventh graders. I'm glad it's nearly a year old and still going strong.
Yes. The rod and any cleaning supplies can be stored in an outside zippered section. A piccolo in its small case with no handles appears to be a viable option. For the money, it's a fantastic little case.

Two different cases are shown in the product photos. On the front of one, there is a pocket that runs the length of the case (photo on the left). A flute cleaning rod could be stored in this pocket if it were long enough. You won't get that case; instead, you'll get one with a front pocket that's much shorter (right photo). The rod is about 2" too short for that pocket, and there's no good place to put it inside the case. The slot for the headjoint is also very shallow, which is a second issue. Although the body and footjoint slots are tight, I believe the headjoint would bump up against the footjoint if the case was jostled or dropped. (I have no intention of learning this the hard way. ) )br>br>This case has a lot going for it, but it's held back by two areas of poor design. I responded by returning it.
This case is just right for my daughter's flute. I had expected the front pocket to be longer, all the way to the ends, but it is shorter on the case we received, and her rod didn't fit because it was longer in length. The rod, however, was able to fit inside because it is lightweight and well-made. She can carry it more easily with the shoulder strap. It was well-received by the public. I'm very happy.
Both appear to be well-made and durable. made. They both have the same interior design: Space for a mute and a dedicated spot for a mouthpiece, as well as a convenient storage compartment for oils and other items. The blue case is a little thinner, has a longer (but not wider) exterior zippered pocket, and no shoulder strap. My son prefers the backpack option available in both versions. I'm content with these cases because he is.
My daughter is playing in band with my old flute, but she needed a new case. This is exactly what I needed. Her flute is perfect for the occasion. It's not too heavy. So far, it appears to be very nice; however, because she has only had it for a few weeks, I cannot comment on the quality of the construction. We'll see how long it lasts during the school year! It is hoped that it will continue to do so for many years.
The only problem I have with it is that the section that holds my flute's head is a little too small. However, everything else is running smoothly.
The case appeals to me in general. The one I got, on the other hand, appears to be made for a C foot flute. The case's lid is contoured to keep my daughter's B foot flute's foot piece from sliding around inside - As a result, we've decided to keep it - However, it is not identical to the one shown. br>Shipping took a lot less time than I anticipated - At the very least, purchase a week's worth of groceries.
For its age, it is in excellent condition.
I purchased this case to replace a factory leather case that had become worn and damaged. This is a perfect match for a c foot flute. There's also enough space for a cleaning cloth or rods.
