This case is for the tenor saxophone; there are a few typos in the description that we will fix as soon as possible; thank you for pointing out the errors.
This case was purchased for my Holton, but I'm not sure if it's a 178. Tomorrow, I'll have a look at it. Mine was a perfect fit.
With the crossrock case, we had a similar problem. Because the trumpet kept moving around, we had to change cases. The bell eventually bent, but the student trumpet I recently purchased fits perfectly and has a harder finish, so we haven't had any issues. So it appears to be a matter of horn.
This case resembles a Conn case in many ways. It'd be perfect.

At first glance, it appeared to be a good case at a good price, but it is not appropriate for a middle school student who isn't overly cautious. Unfortunately, my son's trumpet case cracked around each of the embedded feet after only three months of carrying it to school. After nearly four months of use, two of the feet have sunk into the case, causing it to no longer sit level. (I'll see what I can do about getting pictures up later. ) )br>br>We also noticed right away that when our son slid this case across the back seats of our vehicle to get in, the sharp edges of the hinges scratched the leather seats. Unfortunately, there were a number of them before we discovered the problem. If you're an adult looking for a lightweight case, this should suffice, but I'll be looking for a replacement case elsewhere.
This case is beautiful, and it fits my son's trumpet perfectly. It's sturdy without being overly so. The amount of storage space for accessories is the only thing that could be improved. The majority of his belongings fit in the storage compartment, but his flip folder is too large.
This one has stood the test of time admirably. In comparison to his previous case, it is also very light. After one school year of use, there are no dents or scratches visible.
It's sufficient for me because I'm mostly using it for storage rather than transportation.
For sure. After trying two other cases, this one is the best: it's light and sturdy, and it protects the trombone well. The gigs are fantastic.
This is a strong argument. Better than any soft-sided case at protecting your horn. It doesn't quite fit my Bach Strad, but it stays put most of the time.
plus a little more The Conn horn is an excellent fit!.
The trumpet case is absolutely stunning. It's waterproof and fits our trumpet perfectly. It's also easy to carry (handle or shoulder strap).
