If you lay it flat on a garlic clove and pound it with a hammer, you'll get two pieces, possibly more. It all depends on how much gets spilled.
Yes, it has enough sharpness to cut dough. I use it all the time to cut wonton wraps and noodles. When you're done making noodles, it also works well as a counter scraper.
It should be capable of doing so. When roasting vegetables in the oven, I've had good luck using it to scrape food off of baking sheets. It has a lot of sturdiness to it. Just make sure your griddle isn't scratched.

This is one of those "why did I get this?" situations. "br>br>For ten dollars, it's a good buy. A nice handle, an excellent blade, and even a small ruler on the blade's bottom. I assure you that the one-star rating isn't due to a lack of quality when compared to the price. br>br>The issue is that it has been unused for some time. br>br>We cook in my family. We bake. When I get home, there's salmon picatta, rattatouile, homemade pizza, and a fresh antipasta salad waiting for me. At least once a week, I try to make cookies, bread, or cake. My wife is the chef, while I serve as the sous chef and baker. We know our way around a home kitchen, have all of the necessary hardware, and enjoy using our hands to prepare delicious meals for our family and friends. br>br>Now, keep that in mind. I planned to use it as a chopper and scraper, respectively. That hasn't happened yet. In fact, I have yet to find a use for it that a knife, pizza cutter (roller or straight), hands, or any other tool wouldn't suffice for. br>br>Bottom line: get it if you know you'll need it; pass if you're not sure what you'll do with it.
Russell. The handle on this OXO Good grips scraper is perfectly shaped to fit your hand comfortably and securely. I also like that the handle is made of rubber and is non-slip. The sensation of slipping. The blade is also in excellent condition, with a well-defined tapered edge. There's no need to be concerned about any bent or protruding edges scratching my countertop here. I also like how the blade has an etched ruler on it. I've used a few other scrapers, and you'd be doing yourself a disservice if you chose anything other than this OXO Good Grips scraper.
This item is made of stainless steel, so it should be resistant to rust. I washed my hands after each use. To preserve the finish, dry the scraper. Only a few uses later, it rusted. This is a product that I do not recommend.
I've only had it for three months and use it about once a week. Getting a rust stain on stainless steel is unusual.
The Oxo line of products is fantastic! They put a lot of effort into everything they do. designed, dependable, and strong I've had some of their products for years and they're still in good shape. No exception applies to this scraper/chopper. It's primarily used for picking up chopped food from the counter and placing it in the pot. With a slightly sharp edge, it can be used to cut bread or pizza dough. br>I'd buy an Oxo car if they made them: )br>FYI, I received nothing in exchange for this review (and I don't buy things that have a lot of freebie reviews). This must be put to an end by Amazon.
Prior to purchasing this, I looked for reviewers who had used it for cake decorating but didn't find many, so I figured knowing that it would work for that purpose would be useful. This is a good-looking, well-made piece. It's what I use to smooth buttercream on my cakes, and it's great.
When it was fully functional and straight, it was great. The ends began to bend over after a month of use for no apparent reason.
My condition is rheumatoid arthritis. As a result, it's ideal for scooping up chopped vegetables and meat. It's a different story when it comes to chopping. I've used it to scoop onions, garlic, celery, and other vegetables, and it's a must-have tool for keeping your knife's sharp edge. br>I've also used it to make yeast rolls. It did not stick to the dough while cutting it. It has measurements to help cut the dough into pieces, and it can also be used to slice rolled and chilled cookies, as well as frozen cookie dough. I enjoyed it so much that I purchased one for my 80-year-old mother, who adores it!.
