The characters in the letters The numbers on the blade appear to be heat printed rather than etched or imbedded on the edges. I'm sure that if you put it in the dishwasher and scrub it hard enough, the chemicals in the dishwashing soap will eat away at the printing over time. I'm not saying this isn't dishwasher safe; it is; however, I have a rule that none of my fine knives or tools go into the dishwasher. Dishwashing soap appears to be eroding the handle. I have a complete Hinkle set, but several of the knives' handles have cracked to the point where they are no longer safe to use. The blade is covered by the warranty, but the handle is not because Hinkle considers my issue to be user error, and replacing them was costly. Just putting it out there!
You might be able to, depending on how much you'll be using on the grill. I make bread dough with them.br> They're perfect for it.
I don't remember where I got it, but I bought it to pick up vegetables that I had cut.
I'm not sure where it was manufactured, but it's an excellent scraper!

The item I received was packaged in a plastic bag. There are two large gouges in the handle now that it's been removed. The "blade" has been dented and chipped.
This Bench Scraper is a great tool to have on hand. Chopper is a very well-made and heavy machine. The measuring tools etched on one side of the blade are very useful to me. One thing I'd like to point out is that this item is quite heavy, and if you drop it or lose your grip on it, it can quickly turn into a deadly weapon. I would not recommend allowing children to use this tool, and if you do, the very least you can do is keep an eye on them as you would when they are using sharp knives. On the blade, there should be a stamp that says, "USE WITH CAUTION. " I like the tool, but I would use it with caution, as I previously stated.
Excellent layout - In the hand, the size and weight are ideal; the blade has useful markings (though I'm not sure how long they'll last after repeated scrubbing and use). However, one blade was severely bent in a corner during shipping, and I was unable to straighten it. It came in a single box with some other heavier items, so ordering it separately may be a better option. For the price, it is not worth returning. I'm content with the one I have. br>br>UPDATE: br>br> I used painters tape to cover the bent blade and used a pair of pliers to straighten it. Upgrading to a four-star rating!.
It's very sturdy, and the beveled edge makes scraping up a breeze. The handle is comfortable in my hands and has a nice feel to it. Using one to pick up vegetables and the other to pick up meat is simple with this two-pack.
This is a good scraper with an ergonomically shaped handle that makes it easy to use. The measuring markings and measure equivalents engraved on the blade are also appealing to me. Overall, this is an excellent product, and having two of them at once is extremely convenient!.
Sturdy, and great for scooping up cut-up ingredients and scraps from the work surface. If necessary, the blade is sharp enough to sever vegetables.
These counter scrapers are fantastic, and they come with conversion tables built right in. They do, in fact, function flawlessly. I first saw this type of tool on Rachel Ray's show, and I'm not sure how I ever managed without it! The quality is excellent, and the design is fantastic. Thank you so much for the fantastic kitchen scrapers!.
However, they appear to be durable and comfortably fit my hand. I'm going to use them in my bread baking. I'm excited to begin.
