Where else could it be made for such a low cost?
This grater has a lot of uses, and yes, it can be used to zest lemons. There's no need to invest in a microplane.
There is no door; it is simply wide open at the bottom.
On one side, the holes are definitely large enough to grate cheddar cheese, and on the other, the holes are a different size on each side. That's what I've done with this grater. This is a high-quality item that performs admirably.

In 2017, I purchased this grater. I needed a grater that met the following requirements: • When washing inside, it is easy to clean without grating your knuckles; however, straight sides pose a problem. br> • Stainless steel is the only material used. br> br> br> br> br> br> br> br br> br> br> br> br> br> br>br>Removed and never replaced the rubber gasket on the bottom. br>I mostly use it to shred cheddar and parmesan cheese. br>It still works the same way it did the day I bought it. There are a few stains from hand washing and dishwasher runs, but that is to be expected with a tool that is used frequently. This is the one to get if they continue to make them the same way.
I rarely write a negative review without first contacting the seller or manufacturer, but I felt compelled to do so in this case. When I try to contact the seller, Amazon tells me that the page doesn't exist; I bought the box grater to replace an old one that had become dull over time, and threw out the old one when I received the new one. This was a mistake, because this new grater is worthless and even duller than the one I tossed out. People, save your money.
It works perfectly, and I really like the rubber bottom edging - I used the larger side to grate potatoes and onions, as well as the medium sized side, with no issues to report. Thanks for an affordable and functional product. The lifetime warranty is a nice bonus as well. It's well worth the money. br>br>(For proof of what this allows you to do, see the photo of finished latkes!.
In our house, my husband is usually the one who grates the cheese. When the cheese grating is done by the hulking man. A big grater is required! He gradually broke two or three different types of partially plastic-made types. This is a formidable foe! Stainless steel is even used for the "handle. " This is probably the last one we'll need to buy. Our only gripe is that the large grate side is a LOT bigger than we expected. Because of its durability, the grater as a whole is still worth it!.
I had been using a badly rusted hand grater for years and had finally decided to replace it. I decided to replace my old grater with a new XL sized stainless steel box grater that Spring Chef sells after having an excellent customer service experience with them. br>br>The grater is wrapped in plastic wrap and comes in easy-to-open packaging. It's constructed with a lot of sturdiness. The handle has a solid, powerful feel to it. It's a little bigger than I expected, but that's not a bad thing; it should grate a lot of food before it needs to be emptied. For size comparison purposes, I photographed the grater next to a 24 ounce stainless steel tumbler. It comes with a large grater, medium grater, zester, and slicer on each side, just like most box graters. The bottom of the grater has a rubber covering that prevents it from sliding around on a counter or plate while being used. Although the grater is dishwasher safe, the covering can be removed for cleaning purposes. To keep the rubber ring clean, I don't believe it should be removed very often, if at all. I used it this morning to grate some sharp cheddar cheese, and it was simple to clean up by hand. br>br>Overall, I'm happy with this box grater. It's a nice upgrade from my old, rusted hand grater. Spring Chef has already proven to me that they stand behind their products, and I have no doubt that they will do so with this one as well.
I adore the grater because it has so many different grate types to choose from. The grater has a razor-sharp edge and is extremely stable. My thumb knuckle was gouged out the last time I used it with the unit because I wasn't paying attention. WARNING: BE AWARE! Along with the large size, the rubber grip at the bottom makes this the best cheese grater I've seen. br>br>All four sides work fantastically!.
This sturdy box grater is an excellent kitchen tool. It irritates me to no end. I was able to grate sweet potatoes, zucchini, and ginger much more easily than with our old grater for a healthy muffin recipe that I featured on my ADD website. It halved the time it took to grate cheese. br>br>Because of the large opening, it's simple to clean by hand; I did so once by hand and once in the dishwasher. Both times, it cleaned up beautifully. It is something I strongly suggest. They also provide excellent customer service; the CEO inquired about my satisfaction with the grater. That's not something you see every day!.
This grater is both sharp and long-lasting. The design, on the other hand, could be improved. It has a tendency to cut my finger and nail!
- br>I was contacted by customer service regarding my incidents. It is true that their customer service is excellent. Thank you very much. br>This grater is an excellent kitchen accessory. You just have to be careful when you're nearing the end of the vegetables because the cutting surface is quite large.
