On lemons and oranges, I can easily see the fruit as I zest so I don't go over the same spot with the Deiss PRO lemon zester, which is 1 1/2 inches wide. The zest is smaller and finer than what you'd get with a larger grater, which I like.
This item is made in China and is of poor quality. I purchased one, but it lasted only two months. It gave out after almost a year of daily use zesting lemons and grating parmesan cheese. br>This product is not intended for use in a professional kitchen. br>Saving money is a must, so go with Microplane.

I already owned a lemon zester and was hesitant to purchase another, citing the following reasons: On many levels, it's a waste. But then I remembered that you're 73 years old, and you don't have as much time to waste as you once did, so treat yourself. So I did, and it's a much better tool as a result. It produces more volume with less pressure. Buy it.
Before I got the Deiss PRO grater, I was using a box grater for lemon zest and grated cheese, and it was always a pain to use. The Deiss grater is a breeze to use and maintain. Because of the curved surface, concentrating grated material into a bowl beneath it is simple. br>br>With the Deiss grater, I received an unexpected bonus. I've always had the issue of having to buy more ginger than I needed for a single meal project, so I solved it by cutting the ginger roots into tablespoon-sized pieces. I cut the leftover ginger into bite-size pieces, peeled it, and frozen it, but when I needed it again, grating a chunk of thawed ginger was a pain. I simply grate the frozen ginger straight from the freezer to solve that problem. The Deiss PRO is like butter when it comes to cutting through frozen ginger! That was absolutely breathtaking. This grater is one of the most useful kitchen tools I've ever purchased!.
This zester is out of this world. Oh, my, my, my, my, my, my, my, my, my I never imagined that a lemon zester could evoke such strong emotions in me. This is absolutely incredible. Don't bother looking at the other zesters; this one is the one to get. It's really nice that it comes with a sheath. And, by the way, this thing works like a charm. It made it clear who was in charge of that lemon. I'm not even joking when I say that. I zested a lemon with a regular small holed cheese grater yesterday before this arrived, and then I used this one today, and the zest from the regular cheese grater was about 2 table spoons, but it was at least a cup with this zester. It's very simple to use, and the handle is comfortable to hold. There isn't anything too heavy or light about it. I never expected to be so enamored with a kitchen tool.
It's been said many times that having the right tool for the job is beneficial. In addition, it's a useful tool. This zester/grater is proof of that fact. When I had to zest for a recipe, I always groaned because the zester I had was a pain to use for years. I've only used the Deiss PRO once, but it was a wonderful experience. It's simple to operate and maintain. This is a tool designed for professionals. I'm really looking forward to making a lemon cake! I also appreciated receiving a thank you note from the company for my order, as well as advice on how to improve my results. Thank you for providing such wonderful customer service.
With the first use, it came out. If it hadn't come out, it would have been a great zester; I had another one that was great, same brand, but I couldn't find it on Amazon Prime; however, this version is terrible, FALLA APART.
However, you should be cautious. This thing is razor-sharp to the point of being surgical. Ginger grates like butter due to its sharpness. When zesting citrus, make sure the citrus is hovering over the grater. You can get down to the pith in one swipe if you make normal contact, but citrus requires a lot of concentration to keep a light hand. It's a little nerve-wracking. If you're used to a "regular" grater, this can be a little nerve-wracking. To be honest, this thing is incredible. However, you must exercise extreme caution. Children who may be assisting in the kitchen are not permitted to use this product - You're going to have to go to the ER.
For decades, we've been zesting citrus fruits with a traditional grater. We bought this zester after our son persuaded us. Wow! There is no comparison. This thing works like magic, giving us more zeal than we could have imagined. (It's Key Lime Pie time!) The wooden handle is top-notch! It's simple to hold and operate. Deiss is known for producing high-quality items. I would strongly suggest it.
This is what I use to make Parmesan cheese. It's fine for large blocks, but when it comes to smaller chunks, it'll rip you apart. I'm a non-technical person with a lot of mechanical skills. individual who is clumsy You don't want this for cheese or other small food items that you have to hold, believe me. I've had some very nasty, bloody knuckle wounds, so if there was a cheese holding vise, that would be fine.
