The handle snapping has never been an issue for me. I usually rest the other end of the handle on something to relieve stress on the handle.
The carrots may become a little juicy if you use the coarse grater. When it comes to carrots, I prefer to use a coarser frater. br>It depends on what you want to achieve as a result. br>br>br>br>br>br>br>br>br>br>br
Cheddar, Muenster, and Colby Jack cheeses should be cut with the Microplane Extra Coarse Blade.
Unfortunately, this model does not come with a blade that can be swapped out.

When I buy something on Amazon, the first thing I do is read the reviews, but only the negative ones. Who would "fake" a bad review, after all? br>br>NOT ONE OF THE PROBLEMS OR ISSUES MENTIONED HAPPENED TO ME. br>br>In order to remove the label from the "blade," I went online and read the manufacturer's instructions, which I followed without difficulty. This is a five-star rating. br>br>In response to a complaint about a "flimsy" blade, the Microplane Coarse Grater (I didn't want a zester; I wanted a grater), but it had a very stiff blade that I doubt I'd ever be able to bend. Mine is solid and razor-sharp at the same time. 5 stars all the way. Finally, I'd like to voice my dissatisfaction with the plastic shield. While it's in the drawer, I leave the shield on. Removing/replacing the shield is as simple as slightly bending the plastic shield and popping it on or off. Another five-star rating. br>br>As a result, I had none of the drawbacks and all of the benefits. A TBSP of nicely grated Parmigiana was obtained after three passes with a wedge of Parmigiana. I can't imagine how much easier it would be if someone else did it for me! br>br>Unconditionally recommenced fantastic product.
Until recently, I was unaware of the existence of flat graters. I finally purchased one, and it is fantastic. I'm going to get the "fine" and "extra coarse" versions as soon as possible! br>br>I don't like how coarse the lemon zest comes out (that's why there's a "fine" size), but it makes a delicious garlic puree. Tomorrow, I'm going to add some parmesan cheese and some bread crusts. br>br>Either the adhesive on the labels has changed, or the people complaining about it received a counterfeit product, because the labels on both the grater and the cover came off cleanly and in one piece.
It's simple to clean, and the plastic cover is a nice touch.
My favorite graters are Microplane's Gourmet series, which are made of metal rather than plastic and won't break after a few years of use. They're also a little bit sassy. Reduces the amount of time it takes to grate Parmesan. a time-consuming task This book comes highly recommended.
Microplane is a great product, but this one was advertised as coarse and turned out to be extremely fine, almost as small as the zester.
This has a cover that can be easily removed, just like the one with the plastic case. This is a tool that I use on a weekly basis.
For years, I've been a fan of fine zester. As a complement, I'm happy to include a coarse grater. Both are well-made and function well.
