Yes. Garlic cloves and citrus fruits are added to the mix. It all goes together well.
You should be able to grate it if you can hold it.
I'm not sure; my concern is that you won't be able to hold the nutmeg and grate it without scratching yourself. Lemon, lime zest, and fresh ginger all work well in this recipe.
I have the wider Zester and enjoy it, particularly for lemon zest; however, I believe that preference is a matter of personal preference. What are you going to do with it? I like the wide zester a lot better than the narrow one, and I think it's more versatile.

That may appear to be a non-starter, but bear with me. problem. They have to be sharp because it's a grater! However, the plane appears to be too far away from the tiny teeth. When I attempted to zest a lemon, the lemon became stuck between my teeth, and my hand continued to move. As I continued to zest the lemon, it became entangled in my teeth several times and flew out of my hand nearly as many times. br>br>For some reason, the blade cover also has holes/slits in it. When I reach into the drawer, this appears to be a great way to cut my hand. This is an item that I will donate. I've already placed an order for a replacement from a well-known brand.
This is an excellent item. The blade and handle are both extremely well-made, and the blade is razor-sharp. It's ideal for zesting citrus and grating hard cheeses. There's even a storage cover included. I'm pleased with my purchase in general.
SHARP blades and a solid foundation The task is made easier by the well-designed handle. The blade cover is simple to put on and take off. off, allowing it to be stored in a drawer safely. The small brush makes getting all of the zest out of crevices a lot easier. This purchase has exceeded my expectations!.
This is the worst zester I've ever seen! The grate is too big for a good zest, and not only is the resulting zest unsuitable for desserts, but zesting it is also difficult. It's impossible to get into a good rhythm because of the large holes. I was hoping to get a zester so I wouldn't have to use my grater, but I'll have to rely on the cheese grater for pastries and desserts.
My Oxo Goodgrips microplane, which I had been using for about eight years, had cracked at the handle. Because I cook frequently and frequently use a microplane, I believed this design would be more durable. When I first used it for nutmeg and orange zest, I noticed that the blades are angled steeply away from the tool's body. This makes pushing food through more difficult, but it may speed up the shredding process. Unfortunately, another flaw in this design is that the food tends to slide to the sides due to the way the blades are arched. I was grating cheese for homemade alfredo today when the cheese slipped and grazed my thumb, leaving me with a gnarly set of lacerations. I'm not sure if I'll need stitches, but I'll have to wear a bandage for at least a week. Also, even if it only lasts a few years, invest in cutproof gloves or another tried-and-true Oxo microplane.
EXCEPT it doesn't work the way it's supposed to! When I tried to zest a lime with it at work, it simply rubbed over the surface of the tines without removing the green skin. It took a lot of squeezing to get the lime to stick to it. To get a few pieces of zest, you have to rub REALLY HARD across the plane; this is NOT how they're supposed to work. The tines were almost horizontal, indicating that nothing would be caught between them and the ground. There was no sharpness at all when I ran my fingers over the surface. This was returned to me. I'm not sure if I got a bad micro plane or not, but I ended up buying a more expensive one that worked perfectly fine. Buyer beware!.
I ordered it last month, but it wasn't until recently that I was able to use it. I didn't return it because I didn't have any other choice at the time. The box it came in appeared to be in good condition at first glance, but when I opened it to clean and use it, I discovered it was bent and out of shape. When I took a closer look at the box, I noticed that one side appeared to be bent/crushed in; the functionality was unaffected, but it bothered me because it was not aesthetically pleasing. Because of this flaw, it's difficult to get the cover on, so I'll probably buy another one from a different manufacturer.
It's simple to grate parmesan cheese and it's easy to clean.
