On FaceTime, a friend showed me her plastic one, and I went straight to Amazon to order one. I couldn't believe how cheap the stainless one was, either; I have herb shears, but this might be even better. Herbs must be dry when using shears or they will stick to the blades, but this is not an issue. Take your pick, wash it, and leave. I'm sure I'll use both at some point in the future. People who complain, like those who I give citrus squeezers to, are probably using the stripper backwards. The first time they put the lemon halves in, they always do it upside down, as did I. In any case, you'll need to pull the stem backwards to remove the leaves. Just thought I'd mention it.
These are fantastic! This was one of those tools that I didn't realize I needed until I got it. There will be no more picking leaves from herbs or chopping kale and collard stems. I've used the metal one to strip kale and thyme so far, and it's been a lifesaver.
This summer, I've been enjoying all of the fresh herbs from my large herb garden. I finally gave in and bought this handy tool to help with the prep work. Everything is in order. It's small and simple to tell a story about. I wish I had bought this a long time ago.
This item did not appeal to me, so I tried it on a couple of different herbs from my garden. Even the tiniest hole was too big for most of the dill I tried to remove, but it's sturdy and cleans up nicely; it just doesn't work for its intended purpose.
No need to be concerned!.
It's not very effective. The holes weren't large enough to strip rosemary or thyme, and the blade was too dull to cut.
Because of the low price, I expected it to be cheap, but it works perfectly and is extremely durable!.
For some reason, it didn't work for me. Thyme is something I grow myself. That didn't work with the tiniest hole. Cutting herbs is also a challenge.
