I've used one before, but because I have two kitchens, I bought another for the basement. These are fantastic instruments! br>br> While it is a little time consuming, the tool removes only the outer surface of the lemon that you want to keep, and I was able to make some of the best lemon extract using it. br>br>It's simple to use and holds up well in the hand; I'm glad it comes with a plastic sleeve to keep it in so you don't scrape your skin. It comes with a small brush to help get out the small pieces of whatever you're cleaning, but I found that a toothbrush works just as well. br>br>I like how long it is, and how much easier it makes a tedious task. This purchase has exceeded my expectations, and I would strongly advise others to make the same decision.
I've been zesting with a fine grater for years and it's worked fine. Why didn't I get a proper zester instead? This is absolutely incredible. It is extremely inexpensive and makes a significant difference. It's a pain to clean, but it's only taken a little extra effort so far. Definitely a good buy.
Yes, I purchased this item, and it nearly severed my finger. Apparently, llamas were doing it incorrectly, and instead of cream cheese, I cut off the skin of my finger. I would not recommend purchasing this item; instead, I would advise you to be cautious once you do.
It's razor sharp. Cleaning is a bit of a challenge. For zesters, this is unquestionably the Cadillac. It's possible that I simply don't know how to clean out properly because it's a pain. I zested my knuckles the first time I used it. It's a surgical procedure, so proceed with caution.
It does the job, but the grates are a little large, making it difficult to get a fine zest without pushing too hard and catching the grates. It works, but it's not the best or easiest, and I wouldn't recommend it to anyone who has dexterity issues.
I like how small it is, how it can fit in a drawer, and how quickly I can clean it.
The snap-on cover is convenient, and the handle is comfortable, but the curved pattern of the slicing blades causes you to veer to the side when zesting - It did it several times in a row, causing the heel of my hand to be abraded by the blades. Unfortunately, many zesters on the market now appear to have a curved design.
