This product is advertised as being heat resistant up to 450 degrees Fahrenheit, but when I received it, the package stated that it was only heat resistant up to 400 degrees Fahrenheit! See pics.

My solar oven is compatible with these mats. I believe I've figured it out! 5 1/4 was perplexing, and 3/4 didn't help to clear it up. I had no idea what I was buying because I couldn't see what I was buying. br>br>Well, gentlemen and ladies, I can now confidently state that 2. 3/4 equals 3) quarter-sized sheets, while 5 1/4 equals 2) half sheets and 1) quarter sheet. br>br>I purchased these to use in my solar oven, and the quarter sheets fit PERFECTLY on the racks that came with it. There is no longer any parchment paper available. Thank you so much for everything.

On these mats, I baked the party rolls. They baked perfectly, but there was an odd odor when I sat down at the table. The rolls were responsible for the odor. They smelled like chemicals and tasted like chemicals as well! A closer examination revealed that the baking sheets had the same odor. Both uses were preceded by a thorough cleaning. I wouldn't recommend it unless you want your birthday meal to be ruined as well! The rolls did not adhere to the mat, which was a plus.

Used my sheet for the first time tonight and it left a waffle pattern on the baking sheet and the mat melted a little to the pan, leaving plastic that needed to be scraped off.

Excellent customer service; they were quick to respond to my cleaning confusion. Excess oil or grease can be removed by making a paste with baking soda and lemon juice. Using very hot water and wearing gloves, as well as a good grease-cutting dish soap, will also work well. I haven't tried vodka yet, but it was another suggestion I read about. Using vodka as a cleaner, though imbibing wouldn't hurt either! Rather than using a lot of aluminum foil and parchment paper, I prefer to use these reusable mats. I'm also not opposed to not purchasing those items in order to save money. br>br>Editing my previous comment because I learned from more reading that this is a problem with ALL silicon mats, not just these. And their non-stick properties are unaffected by their cosmetic appearance! I apologize for not being aware of this prior to writing the original review. br>br>Please disregard the previous comment about discoloration as a criticism. Again, this is something that happens with any silicon mat, so I'm leaving a comment so that others don't make the same mistake I did. "However, with only sporadic use, they've developed some brown stains that I haven't been able to remove (though I have some new ideas to try). " ) Since this appears to be an issue that no one else has experienced, it's possible that I haven't completely removed all of the oil/grease and baked it on or into the mat, resulting in brown stains. I recently read that boiling them in water or vinegar can help break down the buildup and remove the oil/grease. " Once again, I've learned that this is normal. " It's possible that's why no one else has brought it up. br>br>In case you didn't know, Heat appears to be critical in thoroughly removing oil/grease residue, according to most experts. br>br>These are an indispensable kitchen helper because of their nonstick effectiveness, environmental friendliness, and cost savings!.

She did, however, wish to obtain a few more for this year. I was going to get some more Slipat mats, but then I saw these Kitzini mats on Amazon, and they're half the price of a Slipat. We decided to give them a try because the reviews were positive. She made a lot of cookies with them today. They worked just as well as the Slipat mat, removing all cookies with ease and making cleanup a breeze. Despite the fact that the recipe calls for half sheets, they fit perfectly on our Nordicware cookie sheets. They do have a slight greasy feel to them, which is to be expected and aids in the nonstick surface. I would strongly advise you to use these for your baking needs.

I was sick of paying for parchment paper and had been considering getting silicone baking mats for quite some time; I'm sorry I waited so long. These are fantastic mats. I particularly enjoy making bacon in the oven with them. It comes out crispy and doesn't shrink nearly as much as the parchment paper version. I've also experimented with low-carb pizza crusts. I got better results with the rolls than I did with the paper. For example, they brown more easily. br>br>After cleaning the mats with soapy water, I let them air dry. Despite the fact that I've only had them for a short time, I've already used them a couple of times per week and have always been pleased with the results. br>br>They fit perfectly on my half baking sheet and make cleanup a breeze (which was not always the case with parchment paper, regardless of which brand I purchased). You will not be disappointed with your purchase.
