The round block's 6-piece set includes a 7-inch Santoku, which I use for almost all tasks. It's very appealing to me.
The blades run the entire length of the handle, yes. Knives of exceptional quality
They certainly have the ability. I will admit, however, that I wash them by hand. Rust spots appear from time to time. This knife set is one of my favorites.

These knives are serviceable, but not particularly long-lasting. br>These have been in my possession for about a year, and all of the handles are cracked. They're still functional, and the blades are in good shape, but they're unsightly, and the cracks make me concerned about cleanability.
When I received them, I was disappointed to learn that they were made in China. They cut well, but as a machinist, I found the grinding and sharpening process to be uneven and subpar. As you can see in my photo, the bread knife had metal burrs. I hand washed this knife and hung it to dry for a few days, and as you can see, it rusted. Do not buy these cheap Chinese knives!.
I assumed that if he has his own line and uses it himself, it must be good, and it is. They feel great in your hands; they're heavy enough to make you feel in command, but not too heavy to make you feel out of control. They're quite sharp, and they cut through anything in the kitchen with ease. I also prefer this design to the traditional wood block because it takes up significantly less space and there isn't a specific spot for each knife; it just fits, giving you more time to do what really matters. cook. br>br>Would buy these again in a heartbeat; they are truly excellent and well worth the money.
Even though it says dishwasher safe, I've only had this knife set for two months. They are not, however, according to the manufacturer. As you can see in the photo, these knives have large rust stains on them. A total rip-off of $200. Gordon Ramsey had me expecting more!.
I'm glad I managed to get them. I needed to upgrade to a better knife set, but I'm not sure if I would have been better off spending a little more on a few individual knives of slightly higher caliber. Maybe it was the marketing that drew me in, but I couldn't imagine GR endorsing these if they weren't good. It's a night and day difference between these and a big box store's big block set. Now that I'm used to them, I'm wondering what I'm missing out on by not using something sharper, but perhaps I just need to practice sharpening knives. The filament block is attractive, with a soft matte finish and is lightweight. The weight distribution and balance of the knives are unmatched by anything I've ever used. I'll never use a cheap knife again; just thinking about it makes me shiver. These aren't the best, but they'll do for someone who's just starting out in the kitchen. This is an excellent upgrade that will show you how important knife quality is in the kitchen. It is well worth the money, and the value for money is unbeatable. Even if I upgrade to a better knife, I'll keep these on hand.
Solid knives with blades that go all the way through the handle. I gave it three stars because one of the knives has several cuts in the handle that look like they were cut with another knife, and the cuts are ragged enough to cut you when you hold the knife. Because the handles are plastic, I will try to sand down the cuts so that I can use them; otherwise, I will have to return the entire set at my expense. They're quite substantial. So now I have a nice set of knives, one of which appears to have been purchased at a scratch and dent sale. There were no flaws in the shipping package; it was solid and well packed.
The knives are fantastic, and the stand is fantastic as well. The only reason I didn't give it a full five stars is because. The knives' stand is gray rather than black, as advertised. That, in my opinion, is misleading advertising. It's understandable if it's a slightly different color than what's shown. A color that is extremely difficult to work with, on the other hand, is not appealing.
We haven't had to sharpen these in a long time. br>br>I haven't had to sharpen any of the knives because they are used on a daily basis and I rarely rely on them. br>br>They have a nice appearance and are well-balanced. I wouldn't have bought them if it hadn't been for the fact that my husband is a huge Ramsey fan. It turned out to be an excellent investment. *update. br>br> The knives that are longer have been sharpened. The sharpener that comes with the package does an excellent job. The handles have also faded as a result of being washed in the dishwasher. No stars were lost because the instruction materials stated that handwashing is the best method.
