So I was a little hesitant to buy these instead of the Wusthoff classic, but I decided to take a chance because the reviews were so positive and they were returnable. I enjoy a good sharp knife and own a variety of them. German manufacturers are usually the best, so I was pleasantly surprised when these arrived at such a low price for such a large set. The build appears to be of excellent quality. The knives are appealing and have a substantial weight to them. They have a razor-like edge. Soon after they arrived, we had steak, which cut like "butter. " " Their instructions are simple: don't use the dishwasher, hand wash, and dry after each use (because moisture on even good stainless steel can leave marks). " As a result, I've strictly adhered to them. My only gripe is with the wooden rack in which it was packaged. The rack is attractive and constructed of high-quality wood. It would be nice if it could be folded up and used as a knife set case. It can only be stood up or laid flat at the moment. I already have an all-purpose knife rack on the counter because of our limited counter space, and I can't afford to add any more knives. The knives will slide out if you place it flat in a drawer or cabinet. As a result, I eventually found a cabinet in which to display the case. Because I imagined it as both a case and a stand, I believe the seller description is not as clear as it could be.
The previous generation of these knives came in a set of four for me. They come sharp and hold their edge well, even better than the shogun series knives, in my opinion. The G10 handles are a fantastic upgrade over the wood handles. The handles are more comfortable, and the previous generation's sharp edges are no longer an issue due to wood shrinking and swelling. br>br>The knife block is a stunning work of art. The layout is a little strange. The hinged flap is required to keep it upright on the counter, but it takes up an excessive amount of room. It appears that it would work out OK in the lay down mode if you had the drawer space, but it is still quite large. Who has such a large amount of unoccupied space?.
When it comes to knives of any kind, including kitchen knives, I have a few preferences. This steak knife set left a lasting impression on me. br>The blades are razor sharp, have a nice weight to them, and feel very natural in your hand. br>They also have a very nice appearance and would not be mistaken for "cheap" cutlery in any way. br>They are ready to use after a quick clean, dry, and hone. These blades aren't serrated and can easily slice through any meat. br>I also like the stand's design, which allows you to either display them on the counter or store them in a drawer. br>I bought the white-handled knives, and they go well with my black-handled stainless steel knives.
This item had two flaws: the handles were too small for the blade length, and the block itself was cheap! The blades themselves appeared to be of sufficient quality.
These are fantastic. These are without a doubt the best knives I've ever owned. I frequently use them to cut simple vegetables and serve steaks to a table of six. I strongly advise you to do so. Make a purchase. It will be well worth your time and effort. I'm having a bad day. I have a drawer full of knives that I bought with money I didn't have for six months and that barely cut bread. Good food and cooking are two of our favorite things to do. We've been ripping through our meat with flimsy serrated steak knives for decades. These Dalstrong knives are stunning to look at, razor sharp to use, and a joy to use.
For meals, my wife and I prefer a bigger, heavier knife. We were so taken with them that I purchased a complete kitchen set for her to replace a Wusthof set. The Gladiator Series is designed to stand the test of time side by side. The Dalstrong Gladiator Series is an excellent choice if you prefer heftier knives.
These knives are fantastic! I looked for the perfect steak knives for a long time and did a lot of research. These are razor-sharp, comfortable to hold, and appear to last an eternity. Knives that could be sharpened and washed in the dishwasher were something I was looking for. I'll be purchasing these as gifts for my friends and family.
