They won't even last a year, and I'm still undecided about whether or not I want this product, even though it looks great in my kitchen.
This set is unbeatable for the price, and I chose it over the knife block for two reasons. One advantage is that the slim design allows for more storage when you don't have much counter space. The other advantage is that you can see inside to make sure it's clean, and they don't need to be completely dry because they're suspended in the air and surrounded by air. They are razor-sharp right out of the factory, so there is no need to sharpen them after you receive them. I like that the knives are all made of one piece, which eliminates the possibility of breakage and makes cleaning easier.
Knives have a very appealing design and appearance. They have a razor-sharp edge to them. , but be aware that they are more dangerous than they appear. They rust easily, which is a disadvantage. They must be dried immediately after washing or they will rust; I would not recommend using the dishwasher; instead, hand wash and dry.
I saw these on sale and read a lot of reviews warning that they were extremely sharp and that they should be handled with caution. I've never bought a set (even though I've paid 4-figures for them). 5x the price of these knives), and I've never been satisfied with their sharpness. I got these and opened them up, and oh my goodness, they're razor sharp! Instead of the older style baulky block knife sets, I prefer the stand and look it provides in my kitchen. A family member came to visit a few days after I received them, and they loved them so much that they ordered them, as well as the next size up. This is a fantastic deal at a fantastic price.
I attempted to send an email to the address listed on their business card, requesting a warranty for the knives I purchased. My message was returned to me with the message that the email address I provided did not exist!.
Knives are excellent, the stand is adequate, and the scissors are terrible. The knives are extremely well-made and perform admirably. The stand is unappealing, and the scissors are flimsy and difficult to operate.
The ergonomic design of the handles left a lasting impression on me. They were easy to work with and comfortable in my hands. The block of wood is in good condition. All sides have been painted. all the way down! With a weight of 195 grams, the 8-inch chef's knife is 45 grams lighter than Cutco's petite chef's knife, making it a win for those who tire easily from heavier knives. The knives' sharpness hasn't deteriorated significantly after a few prep sessions. Overall, this is an excellent set that I would strongly recommend to anyone looking for big-name quality without the big-name price tag.
It performs admirably and has a razor-sharp edge. My five-person family enjoys steaks, and we have a total of six steak knives that we use once a week. Since pandemic cooking at home appears to be the norm, this knife set does an excellent job, and the knifes are of average thickness.
