They do have serrations on them.
This was given to my son as a present. I did, however, open the box and inspect and measure all of the knives. They were all present, as far as I am aware. They are extremely popular with my son, who uses them on a daily basis. If you do not receive the chef knife, I am confident that both Amazon and Henckels will stand behind the product. The photo of the chef knife, in my opinion, is misleading. 8" isn't quite as long as you think. It refers to the knife's overall length as well as the handle. I already own a 15-inch chef knife, so that's what I was expecting. My son, on the other hand, is a big fan of them and uses them on a regular basis. Perhaps a chef knife with a longer blade and handle is all you need. Best wishes to you. I still think it was a good deal considering what I got.

The knives that were advertised are not included in this item. I've included photos to demonstrate that the steak knives on the box are not supposed to be serrated. The set comes with 8 serrated knives, as you can see. A serrated utility knife should also be included in the set, but it isn't. Knives, on the other hand, appear to be inexpensive. The glue where it is connected to the handle can be seen. Knives appear to be of low quality as well.
I like the set overall, but it is disappointing that the chef's knife is not included. I'd like to return the carving knife in exchange for the Chef's knife; otherwise, I'd like a full refund and will return the entire set!.
My first kitchen knife set of good quality. Quality is visible, and the function is as advertised, so it's well worth the money. I've used them a few times now, and they're a world apart from my previous set.
After a lot of research, I came to the conclusion that the Henckels Classic 7-Piece Knife Set is the best. piece of self-expression The Sharpening Knife Block Set was the best option for us. For starters, Henckels has a stellar reputation. Two, we have a set of Henckels steak knives that have served us well over the years. Three, we aren't big cooks and couldn't justify spending more money on better knives. I like the self-assuredness of number four. I'm too lazy to constantly maintain the desired sharpness on this set's sharpening aspect. They're also very sharp. We haven't had the opportunity to use this set yet, so we can't comment on it yet, but with proper care, we anticipate many years of enjoyment.
The set's quality left me a little disappointed. I had hoped for a higher quality for the money I paid, but they are comfortable to use and serve their purpose admirably. To sharpen the blades of the non-cutting knives, I intend to invest in a good knife sharpener. Knives with serrations I'd give this collection a B-.
I bought this exact set of knives so long ago that I can't recall when. I was in desperate need of a new set. There was nothing wrong with the old set; it just looked worn out after so many years. I did not "baby" my old set and instead washed it in the dishwasher. These knives are built to last a lifetime. They stand by their product; one of the handles broke after many years of use, and they replaced it without hesitation. This new set is lovely, and I think the self-sharpening block will be a big hit with me. Spend the extra cash; they'll be well worth it! It is not cheap to have high quality. Note: The knives that are missing in the video and photographs are in the dishwasher, which was running at the time I recorded the video. I apologize for the commotion.
This knife set is outstanding. The self-defense knives are extremely sharp. They stay sharp thanks to the sharpening feature. The knives are attractive as well as functional. They have a razor-like edge. My only criticism is that the knives don't fit in as snugly as they should.
