Pepper seeds that have been chipped off? Engineer is what I am
3/5

Cooking is a hobby of mine. br>br>The edge of this knife bent sideways or chipped on jalapeo seeds on my fourth use. br>br>Clearly, the blade quality has been compromised. Either the metal isn't as good as it claims to be, or the heat treatment was done incorrectly. br>br>So far, this knife has been a disappointment. Diced onions, sliced tomatoes, sliced potatoes, sliced cucumbers, julienned bell peppers, sliced herbs, and a chopped apple are among the ingredients I have on hand. br>br>This is the quickest knife I've ever owned. The light forward weight is pleasant to hold, the polygon edges of the handles are intuitive in the hand, and the knife is quite lovely. If I had the opportunity, I would return this knife the next day. br>br>I wash, dry, and store all of my knives by hand. br>br>This is the only knife I own with a chip in the edge, and it's the only knife I've ever been disappointed with. br>br>I had been warned against buying knives on Amazon. According to what I've heard, good reviews cause quality to fade away, lowering the cost of goods and increasing profits. As far as I can tell, this is true. br>br>It's rare that I write reviews; This was something I felt compelled to share. My slicing and dicing buddies, best of luck out there.

The opinion of a chef
3/5

I'm not going to write a lengthy chef review or make any comparisons to other brands. I'm a chef, and after doing some research, I've come to the conclusion that this knife is incredible. People are constantly stopping, staring, and asking questions, as if it were some kind of rockstar. br>br>Update: I'm a snob. br>br> The blade has come loose in the handle after three months. When you move the blade, you can feel it wiggle. It doesn't keep an edge for more than 5 days, and the blade isn't wide enough to keep your knuckles out of the herbs while you chop. I'm writing this update while on the hunt for a new knife, one that is both stylish and comfortable to hold. Unfortunately, the knives appear to be of Chinese quality throughout. Look somewhere else; I strongly advise against it.

This knive from Dalstrong failed miserably
3/5

This knife was purchased because I adore all of their other knives. It arrived with a nick in the blade, so I contacted them and sent them the photos they requested, but I never received a response. To put it mildly, I was underwhelmed by Dalstrong. I'm still hoping they'll contact me, but I doubt it.

I adore this knife and have been using it whenever I have the opportunity
5/5

It's only half as thick as the box store knives I used to use. This is no longer the case. The edge of this knife frightens the wife so much that she is afraid of damaging it. Any blade in this series' edge will easily skin twice as many fillets as your old knife could. br>Your only problem in life will be figuring out who can sharpen this knife back to its original edge. I've had it for a week and it's still as sharp as the day it came out of the box, cutting vegetables, meat, and even a bone or two. Let's talk about the box, shall we? You might not want to take it out of its box because it's so nice! You might not want to leave the sheaths out because they are so simple and yet so perfect for the blade. br>Let's move on to the PIN that comes with the box. Since I purchased two knives, I pinned one to my social hat and removed the pin from the other so that I could attach a magnet to it and use it to stick to any kitchen surface. Certainly, the pins have a nice design. br>When you add it all up, you get a fantastic knife with a fantastic appearance and tokens to show for it. br>I'm sure you'll enjoy your new blade as much as I do.

Each and every painstaking penny is well worth the investment
5/5

At first, I was hesitant to purchase the knife; the G. It had a Joe action trailer, and the title 'Shadow Black Edition' sounded like a COD title. But, after reading the reviews, I decided to try it. It's been a minute since I've used the knife, and it's heaven in a handblade. The only reason I warn against this siren's beauty is because it is so sharp that it can slice through time portals; I'm perfectly content with my knife and my own dodo bird, both of which are well worth every penny.

I am an Executive Chef with over twenty years of professional kitchen experience, and I provide high quality for a reasonable price
5/5

Every situation requires a different knife. Shuns, Globals, and Myabis are among my most prized possessions. However, not every kitchen employee can afford such knives, and even if they can, they may not want to put them through the rigors of restaurant work. Alternatively, you could put your faith in having higher-quality blades at work, where they will be exposed to other workers. As a result, I am always on the lookout for good brands that fall somewhere in the middle. This is precisely why I purchased the Dalstrong Kiritsuke black series. I'm left-handed, and for my current restaurant, I prefer Japanese fine-edged knives. A traditional Kiritsuke knife is designed to allow a skilled hand to do everything in the kitchen, and it is usually reserved for the head chef. It is well balanced and very sharp, slightly longer than a traditional chefs knife (for slicing fish, sushi, etc. ) but with enough depth and a slight curve for vegetables and cooked meats, with no safety features such as a guard. It was packaged beautifully and would make a wonderful gift. It also included a sheath and a cool pin button. I've been using it on a daily basis for over a month and have only had to fine-tune it a little. It's black, and I've seen posts about honing causing the black to peel away. This will not happen if you are cautious and only hone the blade's true edge. The resin handle is ambidextrous and comfortably fits a medium-sized hand. It's difficult for me to find knives that are comfortable for me because I am left-handed. I "choke up" on my grip, and this knife appears to have been designed with that in mind. It's stylish, sultry, and inexpensive. My cooks adore it, and I have no reservations about giving it to them to use on the spot. It won't cost them a lot of money to replace it if they drop it. I intend to purchase more of these and give them to my employees as promotional items and thank-you gifts. The metal has a light, almost hollow feel to it, which indicates a knife that isn't hard enough to keep its edge for an extended period of time. But, so far, it's held up surprisingly well to some abrasive applications. Victorinox, Henkle, and other mid-range brands pale in comparison.
