Getting this delivered yesterday for my shop was a real treat for me, as I am a full-time woodworker. Delivery was made in a well-packed box and the product met the description. In the near future, I will order the 50" one. The best straight edge in any woodshop is a good quality one. I appreciate you providing the "50" My 50 inch TV arrived in excellent condition, packaged well and as described in the ad. Having these straight edges will certainly help you get the machine set up properly if you have a jointer or any other machine. All of these are very good, and I wish I had just bought one package of all three sizes from the start, because now I want to buy the 24" version as well. As I have stated, I make tables and countertops for a living, and having flat surfaces is absolutely essential to the whole process and to any other part of woodworking. Using a ruler, level, and various "flat" objects in my shop, I spent nearly a week trying to set the blades on my jointer. It was getting to the point where I believed my jointer to be rubbish and was getting ready to order something better. In a subsequent article, I read that many tools are not really flat, and that you have to spend a little bit of money in order to get tools that are truly flat. The flat bar I received and a couple of filler gauges helped me set the blades where I wanted them in my jointer. Taking 10 minutes was all that was required About 15 minutes. I was able to fix it, and it now works properly. The price of this straight bar is not too high, and it's well made.
