Is there a case to store it ?

The one I received wasn't the one I expected. There were two sleeved boxes inside a corrugated cardboard shipping box one was a thin, white paper box (think postcard paper) just big enough to contain the tool, and the other was a corrugated cardboard Besides the clear plastic edge protector, a long machined edge was covered by a swedged metal bar.

There is a slight bevel at the corners of the end surfaces, but not on the face of the measuring machine. There is a straight line at 90 degrees.

Can you tell me how accurate this is?

I enjoy it a lot. Due to the needles being made of plastic, they are a little thick, so if you need to make a cut in the smallest spaces it's not an option. Still, it is a good tool For $2, you can get the exact same one from Lumber Liquidators if you live nearby.

I placed the base plate on a surface plate and checked for straightness. My engine It was impossible to see gauges or lights through the hole. Although I would like it to be thinner, I would not mind. You might be able to bevel the It would be cool to have some sort of plastic or sheath covering the edges.

A big blunder has been made

In the event that I had actually received something, I would have given more stars. I was instead sent a letter of congratulations This piece of cardboard is taped flat and it has nothing inside! There were no visible signs that the shipping clerk forgot to include the tool in the package, which led me to believe that something might have fallen out. This is amazing. A 10 ounce package that should have weighed 3 pounds was delivered to me inside a plastic bag for a drug test. I shouldn't have signed for it without questioning what it contained. Well, I am not going to get any work done on my car this weekend.

As part of the rebuild of an engine, I used this flatness check tool to check the block and cylinder head flatness. It is not appropriate to use a carpenter's tool for this task. It appears that the flatness check was successful, because the car is running well.
