Is it possible for someone to verify the previous response? That could be their corporate headquarters address, for all we know. Many businesses are headquartered in the United States but produce their products elsewhere. I'd expect "Made in USA" to be proudly stamped on the tool or packaging somewhere, but I couldn't find it.

I couldn't wait to get it - until I decided to open it The ruler has been bent nearly 90 degrees at one end and possibly 20 degrees (not shown in photo) at the other end, as shown in the attached photo. The ruler is made of Tempered Steel and cannot be straightened in order to be used accurately. As the box (21. ) shows, this was clearly done on the vendor's end. Size: 75 x 17 inches Inside, the tempered steel (75 inches X 12 inches) was completely undamaged; it would take some deliberate force to make it "fit" inside. NOT FUNNY. NOT HAPPY AT ALL.
This L square was purchased to help me start my stained glass patterns with a good squared outline, as well as to get good straight edges and squared corners when doing geometric designs. I was looking for something substantial. ishes, rather than the usual plastic drawing implements. These are adequate for some tasks, but I prefer a heavier tool that lays flat and stays put, rather than sliding around my paper. I don't need to put on my reading glasses to read the markings because they are easy to read. Because I will never use this as a framing square for construction, the fact that the markings may rub off in those conditions (as mentioned by another reviewer) is irrelevant to me. br>br>The only issue I have with this L square is that it has three or four burs on the inside of the long edge (L). That is to say, the black paint has worn away and the metal is sharp, as if it has been cut, and there appears to be some rust. That means if I need to draw a pencil line along the inside edge, I'll get "blips" in the line. It also implies that I may scratch or cut my fingers while handling it. I should exchange it, but I'm already behind on a project and need to get back on track. Perhaps I'll request a new one and use this one in the meantime; however, I'm not sure if the new one will have the same "features," and then I'll be stuck with the hassle of repackaging and returning one (where I live, shipments must be dropped off over an hour away). br>br>Anyway, I'll ask the company if I can expect a "perfect" replacement, and if so, I'll take it; otherwise, I'll stick with this one. With that exception, this is an excellent tool for my needs, but there is a manufacturing flaw that needs to be addressed.
The markings are painted rather than embossed, and they will rub off when used. This item is not suitable for industrial use and is not even suitable for those who do home projects. Save your money and get one from your local hardware store; it will be of higher quality and cost only a few dollars more.
Other squares have been improved because the markings are not stamped into the material.
The numbers are easy to read and the square is attractive.
For a metal square, this is an excellent buy. I use it to see, and unlike plastic ones, it is quite sturdy and does not wobble or bend. This tool creates perfect angles.
It was a good size, and the heavy weight kept my cloth from shifting around too much. br>br>Due to the glare of the dining room lights off the shiny metal, I had some difficulty reading the measurements on it.
It did exactly what it was supposed to do. This is a must-have for any type of project, whether it's at home or elsewhere.
