SCORING SQUARE: This drywall square comes with a board guide and a hand grip to ensure that your work goes as smoothly as possible. The 24" blade's perforation allows for quick and easy scoring.

ALUMINUM BODY: This measurement tool can handle any job site. Its blade is made of extruded aluminum for a long life, and its molded, high-impact Structo-Cast head can withstand the most demanding jobsite conditions.

SCREENED GRADUATIONS: The rock ripper's thermally bonded, screened black 1/8" and 1/16" graduations will be visible even in low-light conditions. The reading is extended to 48" with the dual-scale.

APPLICATIONS: The rock ripper drywall square, which is made in the United States, is an excellent drywall hanger. Scoring drywall is much easier with its perforated blade.

PRODUCT FEATURES: A permanent 90° molded Structo-Cast head, scribing/scoring notches for knife or pencil, and 1/16'' scribe/score increments are all included in this 24'' square.

I don't know of any.

Is there a way to remove the plastic part or is it all one piece?

It's all made of the same material. The center plastic knob serves as a handle for pulling the squared along the drywall's edge.

Is there a distinction between the yellow and the blue ones?

Both are present in my possession. there is no respect

The most effective drywall tool

I rarely write Amazon reviews, but I couldn't resist this time. This is an incredible tool. If there were such a thing as a perfect score, I'd give it ten out of ten. It's easily cut the time it takes me to score drywall in half. This tool, on the other hand, is best for rip cuts; I used it on 4 x 12 sheets of 1/2" drywall and it just got better as I got the hang of it. I began by leaning against a wall a stack of 22 sheets on their edges. I needed a lot of 3 x 12 sheets. I took out my T square, inserted my razor knife into the 12" hole, and began scoring from left to right. Because I'm right-handed, this might not be the best solution for everyone. After a few cuts, I realized I was wasting time by only scoring one side of the drywall, snapping it, and then cutting the backing with an awkward reach under and around the waste piece. It's much easier to score the front and back with this tool, then snap the whole thing off in one go. Plus, it's a lot faster! It's not ideal for cross-country travel. but if you've got a 4' drywall T- Then you've got exactly what you're looking for. If I had to add anything else, I'd say that this tool has a very low learning curve and can cut any dimension up to 24 inches. 75 inches in length On 4" wide sheets, this means you can rip any width you want. I'm thinking about getting a second one in case the first one breaks or if my neighbor sees me using it and wants one. Every penny was well spent.

It's precise, simple to use, and a whole lot safer

I was always perplexed as to how the pros could simply place their knife on the blade of a tape measure and score long distances. I sliced off the tip of a finger holding a straight edge while ripping 106" pieces of drywall. I bought this on Amazon while in the ER trying to stop the bleeding. It's a lot safer and a lot more precise.

It's a square that's not square! This is my very first review, and I couldn't believe what I was reading

Simply put, the square isn't square at all. Unfortunately, I was unaware of this until one of the guys in my shop pointed it out to me after I had to re-install the software. Over and over, I cut material that didn't seem to fit. We can see why now. Also, the aluminum isn't perfectly flat. It's wavy, possibly due to the punching operation. Other aluminum squares that are perfectly flat are also in my possession. br>br>As someone who has worked in quality control, I think this is a disgrace to Johnson QC. This shouldn't be able to leave the factory in the first place. This should be a 100% check by google search engine search engine search engine search engine search Whether it's a no-go gauge or a simple automated system, there's something for everyone. It's unfortunate that this occurs in the United States. made. Even China might be able to get it right. Someone would be buried in the back of a Japanese or German company.

If you're going to be cutting a lot of drywall, this is a must-have

Cutting drywall is a breeze with this tool. It helps you save time by reducing the number of measurements you have to do. Cutting larger pieces with a small ripper can be difficult. Measure from the bottom and do the math to cut larger pieces. You'll need to get used to balancing the knife and holding the drywall guide in place. If you use it on an edge that isn't from the factory. To keep the guide from getting stuck on a bump of drywall, make sure the drywall edge is smooth.

When I looked up how to do it online, it was suggested that I use a tape measure and a knife to cut across, which seemed like a great way to injure my finger. I bought this as a suggested item and initially thought it was a gimmick, but it changed my life: ripping down 8 and 10 foot sheets was a breeze, and it produced perfectly straight scores. Because it's only 2' long, I had to do some math on some rips, but it was well worth the money.

It certainly saved me a lot of time and effort when it came to cutting drywall. Cutting ridgid pink foam was also a breeze. Heck, it's even useful as a simple T square for laying out plywood cuts. This was an excellent buy!.
