It's not always the easiest tool to transport, but now that I've made a PVC carrying tube for it, I bring it with me on every hardscape project. I've been using it since 2011, and all I do now is clean the pivot points and the carrying tube. I've never had to lubricate this square, and it's held up to its dimensions and angles without fail. This square has made me very happy. When a square is compared to layout strings, it's difficult to argue angles.
This was acquired to aid in the tiling of a bathroom. The bathtub edge served as the only point of reference because the walls were so out of square. I got the opposite direction from this triangle. It fits in nicely with my other levels. br>br> Its only flaw, if there is such a thing, is that the spring-loaded mechanism isn't as strong as it should be. The loaded pin that holds the triangle in place sticks up and thus the triangle lays 100% flat on only one of its two faces. It's not a major issue.
It's really nice to lay it out and see if you're square or need to adjust. I'm not going to measure 3- 5 or larger once more. When not in use, it comes in a sturdy cardboard tube that can be easily stored.
It's nearly impossible to keep a 4-year-old in your arms. Place a foot level and a five-foot straight edge in the same plane in the air, and align the five-foot straight edge with the three-foot mark on a wall. br>br>This tool is a breeze to use and solves that issue! It's small and light, but it's also strong and well-made. It folds up and fits into a sturdy cardboard tube for easy storage.
I'm a big do-it-yourselfer, and I've been fooling around with 3-D models for years. Using a mason line and a tape measure, count to five. This layout square will save you a great deal of time and effort. It's an easy decision to make. It's great that it folds up and can be stored easily. Because it is made of aluminum, it is relatively light in weight for its size.
This was purchased to assist in the alignment of a Safety Speed panel saw.
This is a very useful tool to have in your toolbox if you do a lot of layout work and don't want to use laser tools. Instead of making another device, I decided to buy this one. I can't say enough good things about this tool; it's simple to operate and store. My only gripe would be the price.
br>Because the insulation rolls did not have a straight edge, cutting a square was nearly impossible. br>Finding an edge and a perpendicular to cut on was a breeze with this handy tool. I'm not sure how I got by without it for so long. br>IT ALSO FOLDS TO TAKE UP VERY LITTLE SPACE! br>It's really nice, and I'm looking forward to using it for a long time.
