Construction is made of stainless steel with a titanium coating.

For quick checking of inside measurements, this tool has a rigid handle and a double action design (self-centering).

Gage expands in a hole to be measured (locks in place, then removes to determine final hole size with a micrometer or calipers).

In the end measuring radius, contact points are precision ground from hardened tool steel.

If I were a professional who relied on this tool set for a living, I would have paid four times as much for a name brand. However, I design 3D printers as a hobby. This set is 100% enough for you. The rods expand and lock into place in the expected manner. Most likely has more wobble than the professional set, but at a fraction of the cost. These are ideal for what I'm trying to achieve.

The stem ends were not rounded enough to make accurate measurements on cylinder bores of a car engine, but they work great for measuring distances between flat surfaces.
