These gauges are fantastic. One of my most used tools. Even for someone who isn't good at measuring, they're incredibly precise. It's especially useful for measuring holes as small as 3mm. I'd say they're correct up to a point. 003 millimeters (mm) or less If you have a good micrometer, 0001" is a good starting point.
purchase the genuine article Mitutoyo has yet again proven to be a winner. I bought a cheap set of import small hole gauges and was disappointed by them. It's a winner because of the feel of the gauges. Also, keep in mind that, despite being metric, these transfer gauges will work fine with imperial/english holes and microphones.
