The ends of the telescopic arms are curved. How far is it? There are no contours to them. ?

This is not a flat surface. There is a slight curvature to them

It's fine for occasional use, but don't rely on it exclusively You need to work with precision
3/5

There are rough movements of the gauges and they It is possible to handle them with gentleness and light touch if you're really gentle and light-handed Use in a professional capacity. The one with the narrowest heel is the one with which I measured the inside of the shoe with my measuring tape. In order to keep the point of measurement consistent from shoe to shoe, I offset the gauge against the back of the heel with a 1/2" PVC pipe. 3.
A single star can be awarded to this case because of its low quality, barely functioning, and substandard functionality. countless hours of searching, I found a case close to what I had in mind made by Jelly Comb A total of 99 (as of November 2015). Having designed it as a "cable organizer storage bag" it is called a "cable organizer". In addition to its six pockets, each has an elastic strap made of 3/4" to hold the telescopic gauge securely in place. It has one outside dimension, 1 height, 1 width, and 1 depth The dimensions of this piece are 1/2 x 6 Three-quarters of an inch by nine-tenths of an inch Half an inch. There's a claim that it is waterproof, however I wouldn't want to put that claim to the test. Although it's zipped closed, it seems that it would be able to withstand a moderate amount of abuse and still keep the gauges safe. A telescopic gauge set of 6 that is enclosed in this electronic organizer would be ideal for nearly any set of electronics.

It is better than some, and it is stainless steel gauges have polished surfaces to the outside of the panel and are constructed of what appears to be stainless steel
4/5

In contrast to many cheap sets locally available, the rods inside the handle of this set are very strong. There is a small amount of play in the telescopic rod fitting, but the handle bore still reads properly. With my Lyndex and Mitutoyo telescoping gauge sets, I measured these with Mitutoyo tenths reading micrometers, and then mic'd them with these gauges. It was ten thousandths of an inch different between every one of them. In order to obtain an accurate reading, you should know how to properly use them. It could have been a bit better fitting for the rods, so I gave them a 4. Having them at home is a great way to get your mechanic set up. They work smoothly and without any stuck-ups. The majority of professional machine operators probably choose Starrett or Mitutoyo even though their prices are much higher. They should be fine when it comes to work around the shop, however.

We are somewhat disappointed by these results
3/5

The first thing I did when I received them was to test how well they functioned Nevertheless, they are a little sloppy, especially since they are supposed to be precision measuring instruments. In order to measure a tool, you need to tighten it firmly, a little too firmly to be precise, so the tool stays at the measured size so that you can use a caliper to measure it without affecting the measurement. Additionally, the gap between the pistons and outer tubes is somewhat loose - when measuring with a caliper, up to a millimeter can be seen. When centered, the pistons will have a . 0001" difference, but when leaned toward the inner sides of the tube, it will have a . 002". The results are only okay if high precision is not a priority But if you need a male-female friction fit that requires very tight tolerances, these are not the tools you want to use. The price you pay is the price you get.

I believe it is a design issue, not dirt
3/5

The grip was not smooth and these were stuck, as some have commented. The issue is not dirt, and oiling would not solve it. The small tube has a small slot on the inside. The large tube has a slot on the inside. The handles are held in place by a small pin, which sticks out from the top. There is a channel where this pin rides. In addition to slightly rounded pin heads, slot and channel edges need to be smoothed, and the bottom of the channel needs to be smoothed. If that were the case, it would probably work perfectly. It was a pain to put everything In order to line up your slot and channel, you must face upwards towards the Each piece of equipment is spring-loaded. Unfortunately, I didn't have the patience to sand everything with 1000 grit paper tonight. Replacing it is as simple as putting it back together. It's possible to turn them into a great set of T's at a reasonable price if you spent the time to fix them.

I wouldn't mind it too much
4/5

This is a decent product. Unless your tolerances are extremely tight and you are already under pressure before you make measurements with these gauges, you might want to spend more money on Using these gauges, I was able to measure precisely the distance between two round roller sets that are critical for the production of The problem is, they don't work as intended I. - In the event of tightening the plungers, they will pop out of their sockets on their own and produce inaccurate To fix this problem, I repeated taking measurements until they were Even when you're at your desk you can feel them emerge on their own, but you need to be attentive to notice it if the environment is noisy. It's - If you insert these gauges into a space without retracting the plungers beforehand, it can cause the plungers to bend out, which will lead to incorrect While you are in there, loosen the locking mechanism and allow the plungers to slide out of the housing so the plungers don't get bent. Be sure to depress the plungers a long way to allow them to fit through the opening. It is true that the plunger primarily bends inside the spring rather than on the plunger itself. If you do it, you will probably end up with a crooked plunger.

This is a great was aware of what I was ordering when I placed the order
5/5

In my experience, this tool is useful for measuring the diameter of holes with relative accuracy by inserting it in the hole and expanding the part inserted. After withdrawing the tool they are able to measure accurately across the two probes of it. Although there are instruments that might measure better, they are not available at this price. I am glad I bought this!.
