There are a lot more things I like about this than I anticipated. As of now, it has shown to be very accurate and highly sensitive, even when only slightly adjusted. A level can be easily read by watching the readout change rather than watching the bubble. There is little difficulty in observing the reverse background display. This display is the only reason I would buy one of these! There is a strong magnet at the bottom! I noticed that it pulled out of my hand when I tried it on metal for the first time. It is now easier for me to put it on This is a great product that I'd highly recommend! I find this tool to be a bargain and useful tool at the same time because of a good price, a nice display, a responsive magnet, and the multiple readouts.

I previously had a similar device by someone else, which I liked but had some issues with. The majority of the time I use it in a darkened space, thus I had to shine a light on it to see. There are no issues with that one, and I like it very much. I had another problem reading the old one, since it was difficult to tell which way was minus one when you looked at little minus sign. In 00 I have to tilt. This little guy has an animated icon that helps me intuitively know which way to tilt. It is true that the bubble on top does not appear to be completely The display will say 0 when there is no current activity. In the bubble at 00, there is a very slight rotation to one side. It doesn't affect it too much, but enough to make me not believe it. You might be referring to the digital part, I'm not sure. I just wanted to point that out. It is also extremely helpful to have the hold button so I can measure without looking at it constantly.

As for bench saws, I have not seen the need for them for my typical bench saw applications. The motto of my life is "measure with a micrometer, cut with a meat axe. ". securing solar panels on a pole or RV is a piece of cake and ensuring the best angle can be achieved instantly. Is the best gadget to have with me at all times. This is true regardless of latitude. In this case, a magnetic base would not be useful. When combined with some hand shading, it is relatively easy to read in bright sunlight.

The angle was supposed to be 1 degree at 90 degrees, but it wasn't. It is possible to set my saw to exactly 90 degrees by a right angle with a brand new blade, and this gauge measures it at 89 degrees. There is an error of almost 2 degrees, so it is close to a full degree. According to others, it might be due to the fact that the base is not flat. The unit wobbles back and forth when you press on the left and right sides. When the magnet is engaged, it does not wobble, but one is not sure whether it is tilted to the left or right. Since my saw table is aluminum, the magnets do not lock in when I set them to zero, so I have to trust that the magnets are oriented (left, right or center) as they are when the blade is locked in, but I do not think they are.
